So that's how it ends eh... Read it all over the course of 2 days. I'm left wanting slightly more but I can appreciate this ending.

well, i will definitely miss this manga..it's such a goo ride honestly...and the ending is good an nice too...it's rare to see a manga with this kind of ending..all in all what i want to says is this manga is "a pure GOLD" thanks to all of AQUA scans staff who has picked up this manga and doing it from the start to the end....and i hope to see the new manga from this mangaka....definitedly to read it...

To me, it is the same Mika with the same soul but without the 500 years of experiences that she went through. So basically it's the same Mika yet not the same Mika that Lumiere personally knows (since he only knows about her personality in her later years and is the one he fell in love with) and hence the new Mika with comparable the same personality as the old Mika in her early years is not the Mika that he wanted to see. Remember Mika back when she first came into this world and lived with the lady that noticed her heart was missing? Her personality was pretty similar to new Mika.

However if he continues to live with the new Mika whose personality is comparable to the old Mika's early life, he would learn and know more about Mika as a whole rather than just the Mika that already lived for 500 years. So in a way, Mika's entire existence (her later life as well as her early life) would then be a part of his heart and continues to live on.

*sigh* But still... I can't decide whether it's happy or bittersweet... Because if you think about it, the Mika that we all knew throughout her later years is gone and also important is Nina who sacrificed everything for Mika is also gone and whose entire existence disappears with the death of old Mika with no one else knowing how she was... it's actually more of a sad ending...

Anyway thank you very much AQUA Scans for this wonderful series!

Even though the new girl isn't Mika and Mika will never come back, I'm glad that's the ending they chose rather than bullshitting that this new girl would have the exact same personality and soul as Mika without the 500 year journey and a little sister to care for.

Now I'm feeling empty after all these years reading and cleaning.

i like when the male characters left behind are sad and miserable till the end of their days, so i would prefer if he didnt keep in touch with the "new" Mika but just mope around for the rest of his life
