One day he happens to find a book in the library about how to summon witches. He tries it as a joke, but it turns out to be the real thing. An apprentice witch named Rurumo grants his foolish wish for a high price. Shibaki ends up helping Rurumo and in return she refuses to take his soul. Doing so, Rurumo loses her position and puts her own life on the line. Rurumo must complete the task of getting Shibaki to use 666 magic wishing tickets before she can become a witch again. However, every time ticket is used, Shibaki's life shortens. Now, Shibaki has his own life on his hands. Make a lot of wishes and help Rurumo become a witch again or resist the temptation and try to live long life. |

Damn. That's unfortunate. I also saw some posts by Cirno9Baka's group that apparently the manga needed a lot of redrawing for translation so work was slow going (then again, the last release from them was December 2015 so I wondered if they were still working on it).
It's surprising how little about the manga there is out there, though. It's practically criminally underrated and neglected. Here's hoping translation work on the manga series continues, because I don't see the anime series ever getting a second season.
I am still willing to work on it, however I haven't found a translator willing to work on it yet. :/
Uh, did this stop getting scanlated after Chapter 17? Because unless I'm missing something, I can not find any English release past Chapter 17 for the first manga series of Majimoji Rurumo (which sucks, because it ends basically where the anime did). And the raws have been out for years. The first series ended in 2011 and had 7 volumes. We've only seen 3 translated in the time since then. I've never even seen any translations of the sequels, either.
Is anyone still working on it?
Did this get dropped? I really would like to know what happens after the anime.

The anime was really cute and from what I've heard the arcs that happen next are really crazy and interesting.
Mesdascans and Cirno9Baka, thanks for a new chapter of a real favorite. Even when only one chapter was available in English, I thought this was a real winner, and I was lucky that some scanlators agreed with me. Manga girls don't get any cuter than Rurumo.
Okay, so Chiro is female. I want more human/cat-girl Chiro. Don't know why, but she seems to be the girl who knows Hentai Shibaki the best and isn't detached from her emotions.
