No, seriously, jeez. I've just read 2 chapters in a row and it's too sweet to take.

That would be incredibly cliched. Isn't the author trying to give Lily a character arc where she realizes it's fine for her to love again? Also as far as we know, they have nothing else in common.

 

Loving the fuzzy feelings, but I really don't see how their relationship can move forward when it was basically started on the condition that she not show romantic interest in him.

 

It's an idiotic premise that only exists so the story isn't 3 chapters long, and to do cheesy teenage romance heartthrob moments with people who should have no reservations or confusion on how to progress a relationship. Obviously Lord Autism will slowly realize his feelings for her, they'll be some distress over that condition, Lily will be in danger/engaged/separated and they will decide that doesn't actually matter because when in trouble all they can think about is each other.

 

Why am I reading this? I guess I was hoping for more parenting and slice of life rather than shoujo romance.

It provides a mechanism for maintaining romantic tension without resorting to all of the accident and misunderstanding tropes we usually see keeping couples apart. Quite refreshing, IMHO. I think it helps make the story seem more mature, even though the characters clearly still have some growing room.

No only that, but it's like trusted partners to eventual lovers!

While Sweet Thai Chili Sauce is indeed delicious, it is an entirely different kind of condiment and you are doing both condiments a disservice by attempting to compare the two.

I've read other stories with that condition in it.  Generally it goes as follows:

• They get along as they do when they first meet, and they don't fall in love or think about love
• One of them starts to see the good points in the other
• The first person falls in love with the other person
• They go through a phase where they are super flustered and try to deny they love him/her because if they do that means the end of their relationship
• The first person eventually confesses, which causes the relationship to fall apart
• Then the second person starts to see all the good points in the first person and/or misses the first person despite their flaws
• Meanwhile the first person is heartbroken and tries to kill their feelings of love
• Optionally, to continue the story, have the heartbroken person find a new love interest, which causes the second party to get jealous (then jump to 4th bullet point and start going down the list again, but flip the first and second person); repeat ad infinitum or until you want to end the story
• The second person eventually confesses to the first, the first accepts, and they live happily ever after. 

To be honest, I'm happy with the way this one is going because it's not following the formula to a T, and the feelings are developing slowly and carefully.  I'd be happy if they don't "fall in love" per se, and just mutually agree that they cannot live without each other.  I'm sure there will be rocky patches in their lives which will deepen their trust in each other, and so a sort of "love" is born.  It's just not the typical Shoujo-style love everyone is used to.

My hope for next chapter : Lily mother shock see Jill and force Leonard to take responsibility with marry Lily but Lily father say no, some argument between Lily parents, then wedding dress crown princess design arrive make Lily father must give up coz Lily x Leonard already get support by royal family but childhood friend aka fiance show up and join Lily father to take down Leonard

Am I the only one wondering about the horrific scene her younger siblings in Japan had to endure? They moved past the bound and gagged thing way too fast. The kid should be traumatized but a few pages later she's sitting in his lap. They even bring it up afterward which begs the question why they felt it was no issue showing her comfortable with him already. It isn't remotely believable. Also Leonard's awareness of social cues changes from scene to scene.
