Mahou Tsukai Kurohime

the plot twist with zero and rei created a very big rip in me. i loved the first part but after it was revealed that zero was actually rei. the way the author presented the two brothers i was more attached to the real zero, i mean the brother who sacrificed his life for rei. i truly believed that zero (in order to save rei or at least his soul) merged his soul with that of rei so that they both could be saved. but none of this happened.

the author tried (at least it was like this for me) to make us sympathize with rei and his past and with what he had done but it was a complete failure. the rushed ending didn't help at all too.

i know that he wanted to say "we have to accept everything about our loved one, even his dark past" as kurohime did, but i can't do it. that arc left me with a bad feeling in my mouth. i really liked the zero of the first part who was a lot like the real zero, the dead brother. the problem is that (as the manga was developed) i linked that illusion of zero(rei) to the real one who died. so when i discovered that the real zero died for the sake of his older brother it made me hate rei. even after reading till the end the story i can't accept his death. it's not damn right.

to me this plot twist ruined everything.
