So it seems like while I was gone, Comic Earth Star decided to make this manga not free-to-view anymore.
Words can't describe how mad I am right now. Luckily I had Chapter 5 saved, but not from 6 onwards.

I think Yuzuka's character flaws are that she's too cute, and that she's got a mass of perverted fluff around her. Oh, and she even acknowledged that Miton is her character flaw!
You know, I'm starting to think that Miton is an M, just not for the scrub brush.

Hmm ... unexpectedly, that actually ... makes a little sense. If her power is based on water generation and manipulation that having a swimsuit be the "costume" seems kinda ... logical?
Setting the "logic" of it all aside, though, an interesting tidbit was trickled out, and that is that there have been other mahou shoujo in the past (i.e. the ones that manifested wooden swords and darumas). Are there other little creatures like Miton around, or is there only one who has had several mahou shoujo in the past "working for him"? In either case ... what happened to them all, I wonder?
To be fair, I don't think I've seen any "mahou shoujo with a cute mascot companion" anime that is slice of life in nature and without any sign of monster to fight with (other than the "mascot" itself, of course).
Also, RE: "sacrifices to the devil"...that's pretty much what HAPPENS in Madoka, the very series that started the mahou shoujo renaissance you're whining about. You...knew that, RIGHT?
Sekai Maou should've been adapted into an anime instead of this one, because it's just mediocre at most. All this "mahou shoujo with a cute mascot companion" is getting too old[besides being stupid if it's aimed at men instead of little girls], maybe if they made one with a FMA-like system and real magic, where you need to offer sacrifices to the devil and summon demons, that'd be ok.
Another wasted airing time/production money just for those dirty, perverted Kusotakus to buy cheap figurines and Blue-ray boxes and crappy music CDs...
