The author didn't develop the romance from Aki's side at all so it makes no sense that he likes her in a romantic way when it wasn't hinted. I mean he only saw Ayumi tbh.
If it's like this it would have been better if the mangaka kept it open ended for them to develop in the future.
Despite the obligatory "drama" the story and artwork were quite nice for the short read.
We need more real shoujo(I mean the artwork+close-ups+thoughts+drama were the shoujo standard [that I don't really like] but I still didn't feel repelled by it that much) like this one.

So much cute. So much cute. If I tried to describe why I liked this manga my post would go on for miles so just read it.
I will admit that the ending was pretty disappointing though - it was slightly rushed and there wasn't even a hug, let alone a kiss. With these characters and the length of the manga, a kiss probably would've been too sudden but a hug would've been nice at least... =\
But still. Just read it. Trust me, it is worth it.

You've read too much of the wrong kind of manga... It's a huge problem that men don't dare to become kindergarten teachers because of prejudice like yours. Kids needs both genders (or lets say "all sorts of genders" to queer it up), but ironically, affirmative actions is never something that feminists bring up when it comes to teachers. So pathetic. Sorry to rant about this here

The first three chapters actually feel like two stories that the author didn't know how to pare down to the appropriate page number, so they just timed it so that the climax of the first story ended chapter 1 and the first act of the second story ended chapter 2.
The lolicon is strong in this one. Seriously, despite how the author tries to explain it, it's still kind of creepy.
