If Yugioh can have six seasons, each with more bullshit mechanics than the rest, an MtG anime would work just fine.

I note that playing Stormtide Leviathan and then Rewind on top of that means she has *twelve* mana (twelve lands unless she has some form of mana acceleration), of which five would have to be blue.  That's a pretty high build-up to your finishing blow.

She is shown to run artifact mana sources, so it probably wasn't turn twelve. still, that is WAAAY too long for a game of constructed.

People surprised there is a MTG manga...but this is like the 3rd one.

I'll give him this: I was ready to jump down his throat for attacking with Skithiryx without giving the opponent a turn, but looking him up, Skithiryx has pumpable haste (and flying, which is most likely why he couldn't be blocked).

Yup, Wizards reached the bottom some time ago, but now they started digging down. What's next, Shoujo D&D? But i don't think it's popular in Japan.
 

well gentlemen, we are officially without new ideas.

MTG reduced to an otome game in a school setting that makes Yugioh GX look sane and probable.

If that really happened most of the time you needed to spend more timing studying deck building. Not to mention RNG is not a factor in anime about card games as they always top deck whatever they need at the critical moment.
