Could you make a wordpress or something and upload a download link there until you can find an alternative? Those sites make me really wary.

I'm with you on this. I'd love to download the future chapters too because other reader sites downscale the images or even add watermarks (like mangafox does), among other things.

felt the same red flags rising but then i said to myself that this is machida manga. then i was much relieved after the daughter was introduced. whew. you feel how bad the world has become.

 

This made me remember a few cool middle age dudes i hung out with when I was a kid. Now it's kinda sad that you might be looked at this way.

This same subject came up the other day in a Little League Baseball reddit thread of all places, there were some dudes who just couldn't fathom people teaching and spending time with children without an ulterior motive. And not to pile on what people already say about the place but I see this really widespread in the US, here in South America at least people don't reach for the alarm when they see adults near children in a park for example.

It's because due to modern manga/movies/media we're so conditionalized into thinking that this kind of situation is inherently creepy and someone must have bad intentions. But here it's just two people hanging out, and all the sinister pretext is in the reader's head. It's honestly refreshing.

It says a lot about how cynical I am that, until the halfway point of chapter 20, I felt suspicious of old man Kenichi as some kind of creep. I doubt that the story would ever go that route, but that was just my instinctive response (old dude hanging around teenagers is probably creepy).

 

I'm also glad that this chapter has a bit of a balanced take on the whole "shoot for your dreams" aesop. It's good to have goals, like being a musician, but not to the detriment of your family or livelihood. And of course, this being Machida-kun no Sekai, even a broken family can still come together and love each other...even if they can't go back to the way things were.

I do like when both the problem of the day stories and the reoccurring character stories sort of overlap, or run through each other. It provides a nice dynamic.

I have to wonder if Sakae (the perpetually closed eye girl) is going to get any spotlight? She's shown up enough times to be noticeable, but hasn't quite gotten any development. (At least I don't think she has.)

Why do I have these feelings? Ah, these sparks. I'm cheering for one of the most anticipated manga ships of 2017. >_<
