I feel bad for Sohyun. She was the only one trying to make their relationship work. Gunoo super obviously got interested into Bokhee and was treating Sohyun in a very indifferent way, not talking to her, not even smiling at her. You could tell just by looking at how he acted towards other people in contrast to her.
 
I'm really sad that Sohyun apparently is gonna turn into a villain, but hopefully that won't be the case for too long and hopefully things will end well for her.
 
Gunoo can go to hell though. On top of all of that, he handled the break up extremely poorly.

I'd have to wait to see how they interact first to be sure, but with that last panel I felt there was that whole passive aggressive vibe going on. Like from an outsiders perspective its just a friendly meeting, but for her its an offensive move to wordlessly make it clear "this guy is TAKEN by ME!" Could be wrong, but that's what immediately came to mind, after all I wouldn't be surprised if despite what she said before she's not actually all that comfortable with her bf meeting with a high spec childhood friend who is interested in him.

I'd say the interaction confirmed your hypothesis pretty solidly.

The decision to deliberately not show the face of her old love who's coming back, made the new one into "first guy wins".

First guy doesn't always win, but if they had to carefully put him in position to make him the first guy, he's meant to win.
