There's supposed to be a follow up called "Lost Universe - Special", which ties up some loose ends (such as Canal's past)
Hopefully it will get one day translated.
Either way, I've enjoyed reading this manga.
I'm dissapointed with this series, definitely weaker storyline than Slayers.
