So Readers can you bring yourself far enough out of apathy to fully doubt and begin to truly trust your friends, families, and all others you will meet from today on?
The ending is not so great, but still good for me.
This is a true phycological masterpiece. The games were absolutely fantastic. Everything was so good......until the last page...the last page was too abrupt of an ending for me.
Why does akiyama always wait for her to fuck up before helping her?
Kanzaki and Akiyama has no final words? Fuck that.
The ending felt abrupt and disappointing, but it wasn't as horrifying as I imagined it to be judging by the comments I read prior. Still, don't expect too much. I actually would have liked to see more of a showdown in the last game.
Overall, I had followed Liar Game for about five years now and I must say I've enjoyed the ride. The games were well thought out and executed, while the characters had some nice development. I remember that when I first read this series, I frantically recommended this series to all my friends. I thought it was a psychological masterpiece.
I still think it's a psychological masterpiece, actually. Just with an ending that felt... not so satisfying. I guess that happens to a lot of long/big series.
The purpose for the Liar Game was dumb.
There also needed to be a final arc where they play a game directly with the dealers, the author left a bunch of hints but didn't really expand properly on the dealers backgrounds.
I feel like the author just couldn't figure out an ending where Kanzaki and Akiyama could actually follow through with their ideals without dumbing down any of their characters and had to pull this out. This is probably one of the most disappointing endings I've ever read but that probably just goes to show how much I expected from this manga.
The Manga was ended in a rush and probably there will a continuation it was a disappointing as Gantz but meh.
Thank you everyone for the comments saying how "disappointing" the ending was. I went in expecting something terrible and found something that exceeded the low expectations. Thanks to everyone I actually managed to find the ending satisfying!
well... that was... a little... disappointing...
but never the less he succeded in making a really good manga which didn't rely on the artstyle, truly it's rare that I enjoy a work with this level of drawings. Salute to the author for what he Did make and keep doing whatever you are doing dear translators.

After the ride that the series was, the ending is more than a little disappointing
I think you're on the right track with that one. To me it felt like the ending of the manga was trying to reflect the ending show within the manga. That just as the video exposing the meaning was shut down this manga too was shut down. It could just be my interpretation but if so it's very clever.
lol that ending haha. felt pretty sudden as though there would be another chapter.
but I guess it was nice and interesting while it lasted.
But they deleted the video... So they had to re-upload it again...
OH MY GOD. Years ago, I wrote a review guessing that the Liar Game was the brainchild/experiment of a psychologist with money to blow, probably someone with misanthropic tendencies. I wasn't totally right but dang.

This is the end of small "Liar Game" story. The great "Liar Game" is in your real life.
Your government is one of those dealer.
pathetic ending to such a brilliant manga. seems rushed to me.
id rather it finished without an explanation, with the cliffhanger, or something depressing.
wat da faq was dat ending?
This ending sucked, but I thought One Outs was all right. I liked how Tokuchi just disappeared into the night, his gamble and his victory complete. I didn't want him to be humanized at all in the ending, I didn't care about his past or his emotions, I just wanted to remember him the way everyone would - one of the most magnificent bastards to ever grace the pages of a manga. They did the same thing with Akagi Shigeru, and you can't argue that knowing HIS past would enhance his character in any way.
