Description: Yamada is a castaway on an island without any ships passing by and he is unable to recall why he is there. After finding his sports bag, he assumes he was on a school trip. With only seven days worth of food, he eventually decides to make a boat to leave the island. He thought he was alone on the island until finding a girl named Imaise Chika eating his food. They then decide to continue carving the boat together. Since the boat only has room for one, Yamada decides to set off for help, but returns upon noticing that not only has Imaise put her share of rations in his bag, they are mostly untouched as well. After returning, he notices she made the oar out of a fishing lance and he decides they can live on the island longer.

Any update on this?

The story was interesting for awhile, but I just hope it's not one of those "I end up dying for the one I love," which every time I think about that skeleton that Girl #2 found, it could be our MC....  We already know he wastes 10 years of his life trying to find a way BACK TO THE ISLAND to save Girl#1, but I hope he doesn't end up spending the rest of his life there.....

How does everyone else feels about this?

Chapter 31:

Spoiler
Spoiler

As far as I could find out this is not true. The smallest recorded star seems to be 7.5% the size of the Sun, and the moon is 1/4 the size of Earth, which is miniscule compared to the sun (1,287,000 Earths are as big as the Sun).

~Some body once told me the isle was gana roll me. Throw me to a tree in the past.~

She was looking kinda dumb with her shirt all askew
And her bra in the shape of non existence

There are very few authors who can handle time travel well, and this author isn't one of them.

~Some body once told me the isle was gana roll me. Throw me to a tree in the past.~

10 fuckin pages... sometimes I feel like i'll die before some of these mangas are completed.

know how you feel ... I thought the same when the manga stopped releasing chapters like 4 years ago, it was a terrible time, now I think the same with Ippo, 'cause it has been going (in that case) for more than 20 years, now it's the race between the author and the manga to who ends first.

It's not my fault you can't understand basic humor that doesn't use memes. You completely ignored the point of the post anyways: how stupid and pretentious you sounded. Go back to reddit or whatever site still uses "dank" in 2017. And pick up a dictionary and look up irony.

Just stop.

being edgy and continuing an argument on a manga site

what are you doing man

I haven't heard any news about him or seen any interviews with him lately, but I've always kind of suspected these short chapters are a reflection of Okazaki-sensei's health... I hope not, though; it would be a shame to lose a talent like his, and I really like this manga!

...Is it a stalling action from the assistants/editorial department you think?

Ah, the classic "It was just a prank bro/i'm just being ironic with DANK memes/I was being an idiot on PURPOSE I can't believe you fell for my clever joke lmaoXDLOLOLOLOLLOLOL" excuse.

Good one.

When I stumbled upon this I thought I'd give it a chance even if it was probably a dumb ecchi with a convenient setting for some sexy development and not much else, but I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by the story and characters so far, it's pretty solid, I hope it doesn't get axed like Eden no Ori

at one point I really liked this manga, but it's just losing it's appeal now. It's mostly the content doesn't produce the same feelings as they once did, and possibly the fact we are getting chapters once every 6 months.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Besides the above,

Our MC is such a fucking baby these days it's ridiculous. "who was that guy, you trust him more than me... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah."

Seriously, Both Female MCs want our Male-MC's dick, and Male MC is crying thinking this other dude is who Chika wants.

I mean come the fuck on already Yamada....  Tell her how you feel.

>uses "pseudo-intellectualism" to describe someone while being pseudo-intellectual Holy shit are you for real I'm laughing so fucking hard the irony here is surreal. I called 2017 a shit year for manga and made a joke about LOST and nigga you start talking about Jules Verne. Then you refer to yourself as a "prudent connoisseur" ayy lmao crap bruh can you hear yourself? You should do a mockumentary some day.

Good one.

"Wow it's a Japanese LOST ripoff."

"No, it's not actually."

"Check my meme arrow outside of the secret kek club, you're a dumb idiot I only called 2017 a shit year (you didn't, actually, you also told people not to elevate this manga because of that) and made a joke (no, calling something a bootleg when you're trying to demean it with no other context to make your comment come off as a joke doesn't count as telling a joke)."

Like, okay, that chick got a bit carried away. Her last two sentences probably should've been excluded, and what came out might make her seem a little tiny bit ostentatious.

On the other hand, you reek of a teen that just discovered /b/ and thinks acting like he's on /b/ will cover up his intense backpedaling.

If you're gonna try to meme your way out of a corner, at least consider aesthetics.

TBH the ostentatious bit was kind of the point. Throwing his approach to the manga back in his face made him realize how idiotic it all sounded. However, in doing so, he backed himself into a corner and tried memeing his way out.

Either way, I hope Rozzak realizes the flaw in trying to say "Oh it's a rip off".

Sometimes I like taking their attitude and throwing it back at them to see how they react. Rozzak reacted exactly as I expected tbh. But yeah, the bigger point I like going at in this case is how I like how different authors take a concept and manage to spin it around to make it seem new and interesting.

Spoiler
. And all of that begs the question of what the endgame will be.

Only the plots are completely different.
The only similarities between this and LOST are that it takes place on an unnatural island.
Well congratulations, Lost took the idea from Nadia: the Secret of Blue water, Who took the idea from Jules Vernes works.
Guess what, the originality argument doesn't work because everything contains elements of something else. Therefore the prudent connoisseur of manga and anime look at the story, the character development, and how they take a trope and make it interesting.
This goes the interesting route and your pseudo-intellectualism is painful to watch to say the least.

Its getting shorter on every single goddamn new release.. This is not suspend or thrilling anymore, but just a bullying...

goddammit why so short??!

Livin' La Vida Beta

Spoiler

Well considering that the whole "Alpha Wolf" is a myth anyway (the initial study in the late 40's was of wolfs in CAPTIVITY) then long live the beta!!

Is the manga ongoing in JP, or has it ended?
