I'm thankfull for this comic's existence, Law of the devil novel is currently one of my favorites and most enjoyable reads I have today

Mmm, the speech bubbles used in chapter 2a makes me think they are talking out loud. I keep having to check his face and re-read the text.

That or they really were talking out loud...

And also while reading from one chapter to another, the chapters seem to be out of order. I got sent back to the main page after finishing 2a, and had to manually go back and continue to 2b.

Problem is they are using the word retard in its actual definition.

The actual definition of "retard" is actually slow if you relate it to the french term "retard." A "Retarded" person is a person who is basically very slow in the thinking processing which is why they generally have an IQ lower than 60.
Mentally disabled people are generally slow in processing, but not all of them. Some of them can be very smart, but for example, can lack the storage potential (memory) and hence cannot hold a conversation well.

So If what you said is true about the raws stating mental deficiency then I'd agree.

I apologise, I know that some people put some effort into translating this but holy shit it is so badly translated ... Do no one check after everything has been put together ? There is no "north-west china" in the raws, where the hell did that even come from ? Last chapter had also many errors in it, at this point I'm seriously wondering how dedicated the translators are to this series, when you have this many errors, I'm convinced that no one has read the novel, and that no one is translation checking or editing.

Problem is they are using the word retard in its actual definition. They aren't calling him stupid, they're calling him mentally disabled/deficient. There's really not much in the way of politically correct alternatives that would still keep the same meaning while not sounding completely out of place.

okay just read all the chapters of the ln currently translated and gotta say if the this manhua is 10 ten times better than this first chapter then its going to be awesome

I was rather surprised that it has such a crappy manhua adaptation, and hilariously enough even the translators rant how god awful it is.
I'd say the first 20 or so chapters of the web-novel are really fun to read, but from the moment the MC meets up with the shy wizard, it all goes to crap. The author focused way too much about her, as if anyone cares about a sudden side-character that cannot even properly speak.
From that point, there's nothing but a slew of random side-quests and major derailment of the story. At least that's how I found it.

The story is overall, a story worth reading. The exposition is good and the characters' aren't bad (although I hate the shy-wizard), it's up to ye if it loses its impact as it did for me~
