Oh I get that one. Not all kunoichi used this approach but some Kunoichi would infiltrate "places" to get information from people.
And in order to do their job well they needed to use seduction and other "assets" to ensure they'd get ahold of the target they want to extract the information from.
There are a lot of ninja out there, but people remember only of the assassination ninjas.
Some ninja were medics, they developed all kinds of medicaments and poison and were actually the best doctors of their era, some were warriors, using heavy gear to face their enemies directly, serving as a distraction for stealth ninjas(assassination, inteligence and retrieval) to leave the place unnoticed, some served as bodyguards, using all sorts of disguises. Some famous ones being gardener disguise(this one was easy for them, because some of their weapons were made from modifying gardening and farming tools) and palace guard disguise.
