oh, that wouldn't likely be very successful. it's just hilarious contrast to the main character.
I donno, the Office Flirt who shows up and forces the romance plot could work out well. I liked the slow build, as this whole series is about Kumika discovering emotions and experiences that she felt it wasn't proper to her to have; for very good reasons(her parents live on a world where eating ANYTHING is an insane luxury). But forcing the issue and making her think about it might not ruin everything, but instead just accelerate the process.
Don't be stupid. Even if she accepts (which I doubt), it's not NTR.

Honestly, going by the coworkers' expressions in the last panel, they're all thinking something like, "Goddam it, man! Why you gotta be an idiot like this... Really?!"
You can just tell that the entire rest of the office is going to cockblock him soo hard, until Chihiro returns to his senses from his state of shock to comfort the bewildered Kumika (who likely has no freaking clue what is going on).
Look we all know how this song and dance goes; we got this guy for a couple chapters and then he either disappears into the background or stays on as another side character. But he's not wining the Kumika bowl in case anyone was doubting.
