Thank you, Mama, for ch2pg42!! That sure slowed down the effects of early confessions and progressing too fast. (Ch6) I think this has become my favorite fake relationship where we can also see how their value to each other processes. Now that I'm back on the title page, I'm glad to confirm there's no drama tag in the genres list. And is it just me disliking that kind of short bob haircut with bangs of most girls who has it/gets it except for this fmc? She rocks it well.

I really want a triangular ruler now that I can carry around and whip out like a weapon...it looks like fun!

But where was she hiding that when they were on the roof?...under sweater/skirt pouch??? Manga people's awesome ability to pull objects out of thin air, so jealous .

I would agree that the male lead is a bit inconsistent, or more accurately, his actions don't quite fit logically. It seems like a bit of step up to try kissing to get used to handshaking, but I guess you could interpret it as starting on hard level, and if you can do that it is easier from there, or perhaps it is just to better fit his tsundere image. What I also find weird is that there is no explanation given on why he is still a second year high school student at 20. Is he stupid, LOL? I'm assuming it is because he was busy with his career and redoing his image, but still he is really behind.

I'm also a little disappointed in how quick the girl started to take interest in him considering she is supposed to hate guys but I think this manga is going for a faster pace overall. I do hope they give a bit of a explanation/backstory to her negative view of boys. They kind of explained why she has trouble with people in terms of connecting and relating to them, but not on her issue specifically with guys. I agree that the mom might come off a bit pushy, but I think she kinda needs to be. Regarding the situation with go to the school or pay fees, I think that is completely reasonable as she is the one at fault for bombing her last year and her mom went through the effort of setting it up so she could go to this school. If she wants to selfishly have her own way then fine, but then she can do it on her own merit. Simply, she's got to bear the consequences of her actions one way or the other. The mom also pushes in terms of relationships, which can be annoying/invasive but I understand where she is coming from. Her daughter seems quite stubborn and has it locked in her head to live in her comfortable ritual and that things like love are completely out of reach without having made efforts or any experience yet. Therefore, I think her mom is taking advantage of the situation set before her to try to give her daughter a push into the world so that she doesn't end up isolating herself needlessly. Whether one agrees with her actions or not though, I think it can be said that the mom does have a sense of charisma ^^.

Based on the story so far, I'm also apprehensively continuing with this series...

It's kind of... The difference between his actual character type and his portrayal in chapter one is almost jarring. He changes so suddenly after chapter one, it almost feels like an entirely different character was transplanted over him.

It's funny that the manga brings up the concept of continuity in movies and television, and specifically having difficulty recognising the same character from scene to scene, because boy howdy. And what happened to the bizzarro class of super welcoming bishounen? The teacher is still quirky, but everyone else seems to have disappeared.

Also, the mother is pretty frustrating. She treats Haru like she's just some talent she's producing, rather than as her own damn daughter. "Do what I say or pay me"? No wonder Haru has this much difficulty relating to other people. I'd look forward to her plans backfiring horribly or realising how much damage she's done, but I've got a bad feeling that the story will be much more interested in portraying her as some kind of inscrutable mastermind who knows what's best for everyone, when she actually just seems creepy and meddlesome.

Guess I don't know about this one yet. I like Haru a lot, and the male lead is more compelling than he first appears, but there's so much that's weird and uncomfortable that I'm left feeling guarded and ambivalent. I guess we'll see how this works out.

I still like this, with all its weirdness. I fail at pronouncing his name though, even in my head. And I had to re-read chapter 3 to remember what happened, but that's okay, since it's an enjoyable read.

And it's nice that you've fixed chapter 2.

I just started this, I read chapter 2 and felt like the story did a big jump, then I realized it's actually just chapter 3. So if anyone has the same problem, head over to the scanlation group's (Summer Rain's) online reader and download the chapter, because in their reader the pages are jumbled.

Anyway, I quite like this so far!
