Wonder if any of Sakai's old colleagues will become relevant in the main story somehow somewhen.

Well we know about one that sure wont...

Las Fegas

epic double smile is epic

Goddarn it man, why does the cliff hanger of this manga always so steep?!

And, doesn't it be kind of spoilery for the volume 12 cover to be posted like that while we're still on volume 2?

A list of passwords that includes "correcthorsebatterystaple" and "Tr0ub4dor&3"  on page 16 of chapter 10 - heh.

https://xkcd.com/936/

Apparently a lot of password systems won't accept "correcthorsebatterystaple" as a valid entry by a user.

Wow, this is super good! And thanks so much for the translator notes Helvetica!! As someone whose only knowledge of hacking comes from documentaries, they're extremely helpful!

70 minutes to 10 minutes.... okay that's insane and almost unbelievable, but I've seen something like that before in my office (not speed, but file size) so this is really interesting...

Meeting new people, coming to terms with his own flaws, forced to solve problems in ways he never would before, this really is a coming-of-age story for Koreeda. I like how this encryption case wasn't something he could solve alone with his brain and computer.

goosh, i like this roller coaster feeling!

Let the triggering begin.

A little late to drop this but

Spoiler

Yeah, those eyes were definitely triggered.

Thank you for that recommendation.

Be wary though, Bloody Monday gets REALLY depressing and tragic.

hey just want to let you know that == operator do not always the same value and type (in some programming language you must use === if you want to compare value and type ) example of this is JavaScript. source : http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_comparisons.asp  and https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/53k8ybth.aspx(c# for some comparison do not have === opertaor and == operator behave a certain way when comparing string(text) data type)

You're right, it doesn't actually check for type. I think it fits with the imagery the author was going for though.

Ooh, ooh! Finally the third arc up next!

Where the shit starts to go down! :D

Who is this anonymous guy though?

We have a glossary at the end to explain this sort of thing. :D

Anonymous, by the definition he used it, is referring to the international hacking group.

Mmmh... the summary is interesting. I haven't been interested in manga with hackers as main characters since good ol' Bloody Monday... I'll give this a try. Thanks for scanlating, Helvetica Scans!

Wow, the MC actually has some happy moment of childhood in that seemingly messed up family.

Can't wait for when the real fan-hitting shit to come! :D

Ubuntu is the only correct answer here, it's easier to use and control than other OS, plus installing it on an IBM brick is a smart move, that computer is quite powerful. I haven't actually hacked much myself tbh but if it's for a network breaching attack I'd prefer Kali Linux that one has tons of helpful tools.

Sorry, I was not explaining myself enough:
"He's got a good taste, he has Linux installed on a 2005 IBM"

Ubuntu, with Unity, and "good taste" was just too much for me, it knocked me out :)

I am a Unity-hater, so excuse me ^^

Ubuntu? Really?.... well, let's see where it goes...

Fair enough and same for me. At least the story kept me interested. Though if from the premise, they form an anti cyber crime group and call it that, I will laugh at our old comments.

Dunno if it's gonna be some anti-cybercrimes group. I feel more like it's gonna be one of those "try to crack our security" type of things. Y'know, where places hire hackers to test their security...
