No raws means no translation.

They seem to be on amazon, I would be down to chip in.

Another stalled/dead scanlation

This is pure kino

Nothing like ruining a great movie with a bad dub.

But this makes me realize that I should be grateful that I can watch all my English language movies in English... I've never really thought about what it's like in Japan where they have to dub or sub foreign movies.

So... Is Alice Gardner going to move in with Kine and Satou too??

The well's run dry?

<Vader>Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! </Vader>

Regarding redubs, I tend to stick to the original language track most of the time, just because the redubs are so hit-and-miss. Can't tell in advance if it'll be great, terrible, or just unrelated to the show you're actually watching, and I just got sick of checking.

Regarding Gunslinger Girl specifically, I would totally watch an italian dub of it.

Really??? Then how about the narrator in DBZ saying that Goku and kid Buu must not be from Alentejo because they are fighting so hard or how about Frozen were instead of the chorus being "Let it go", it is "Já passou" (the Portuguese equivalent of "it's all better now")???

No, dubbing is a creation by the Devil to punish stupid people without them knowing it.

Lol, spanish speaking countries have it worst because of an eternal dispute between the dubbing made in Spain and the latinoamerican dubbing.

There's a ton of comparison videos between both versions, and nothing keeps more joined a continent that the hate towards the Spanish dubbing.

As a Portuguese person, we've always had good dub actors though? In live-action not so much, but in animation and cartoons, absolutely.

Wait, what happened in this chapter actually happened in real life??? I need to know.

Also, as someone who lives in Portugal, yes dubbing is shit and you Americans will never know the true horror of shitty dubbing.

So this is Beavis and Butthead, but without Beavis and Butthead?

That face at the end was literally me when I'm sitting in a cinema and cringing while trying to listen to a Russian dub of almost any given movie.

Aw maaaaaaaaaan.

Thanks for bringing us thus far. I remember first looking up this series on Bookwalker and being interested from the cover and description... I really hope someone picks it up, it's really great.

Though this chapter was kind of a mood swing-set.

Can't believe that joke made me laugh so hard in the end. All that for a jab at dubbing.

A shame the TL ends here...gotta see to finding this series a proper scanlator I guess. Thanks for typesetting, and to those who provided TL and raws thanks also.

@ScorSX

Good Job! Thanks for your efforts

But, my mood right now...

Spoiler

I just noticed there is a "shoujo ai" tag. Hmm :/

Wasn't me. I wouldn't categorize this as a yuri genre series. Did tag it for subtext on that review I wrote though.

Objection!

"Kaaaah" is the sound of someone turning red from embarrassment or being shy. It's especially obvious in the second panel it happens, with both of them basically boiling from embarrassment.

I thought that was the sound from drinking really good beer.

Kine and Satou need to hike up Brokeback Mountain, like, now.

I haven't read this yet but only came for that tag :P

Kine-san, it's not like you don't have friends because your hobby is watching movies but it's because your attitude and your mindset... Your ego is too big that you won't listen to other people's opinion and getting pissed off every time people didn't agree with you, eager to force opinion on other but hate it to death if you're being on the receiving end, didn't bother trying to at least learn popular conversation topics, etc. It's getting more and more apparent that your actual personality is annoying and pain in the ass to deal with as the series goes on lol.

This, so much this. I started reading this manga going "how could she have THIS much trouble making friends just because of her hobbies? They're not nearly morbid enough to scare away everyone." It was almost bending my willing suspense of disbelief (Note that if you don't know what that is and land on tvtropes while looking, prepare to waste a lot of your time). It was hinted when she went on the Internet but it wasn't until we saw her properly become friends with Mizuki that we realized that she was just terrible at relationships of any kind (due to the fact that relationships need compromise and understanding).

Whether those two go BFF or full yuri route, I think those two really needed to run into each other. Kine to get out of her antisocial ways and Mizuki to get over her breakup/divorce/caught husband cheating. Now that I think about it, Mizuki has the same "no friends" problem Kine does. Huh, two peas in a pod.

@ScorSX, just thought I'd share a couple of my notes, on your notes, based off of my (limited) understanding of Japanese...

Page 4, panel 4: "Hell" in Japanese is "jigoku," so 'Jingle hell' was likely "jinguru (jingle) jigoku."

Page 6, panel 5: "うん" (Un) is usually translated as something like "yeah," so basically an informal version of "yes" (はい, hai).

Anyways, hope this was helpful for you some way.

These two becoming either heterosexual life partners or an actual yuri-couple; either way I support this ship =w=
