Good lord, fortune-teller girl just jumped the plot forward about 80 chapters, it would have taken YEARS for them to figure anything out at the rate they were going. She just brought us from exposition to endgame in about 4 chapters, the series is seriously almost over at this point. I have absolutely no idea how to feel about this.

His sister is as good as fucked by the best friend. I bet in the previous life it went something like: Protagonist > Lover (Friend) > Otouto (Imouto) > Protagonist. Bet the lover was a huge playgirl and never had any more of a inkling of romantic interest, rather it was completely platonic. She moved on so fast because now she could be with the guy she actually loved. Exactly as I'd expect from the "ex-gf" of a shounen manga beta-kun. I wouldn't be surprised if his past self knew and didn't fuck her even once, saying "I just want her to be happy even if it's not with me..."

I just read this and I gotta say it's a fun manga to read especially when Asahi's sister beats on Fujita....sorry Fujita. Anyway I think that someone should add gender bending to the genre list because....well Asakawa is apparently the reincarnation of a very muscular old butler who likes killing and apparently eating bears on his days off of work....and for some odd reason I imagine him looking like head captain Yamamoto off of Bleach wearing a tux.....

That was actually my assumption when I said that, or rather the other way around -- little sis being the lover and friend being the brother. Even the friend's attraction to the little sister could be seen as a connection to his past life since they were apparently a couple in that life after big bro died. 

Honestly I'd feel a bit sad if the fortune teller was totally accurate though, that after big bro died, the lover quickly got over him and shacked up with his brother. Something about that feels incredibly lonely. 

So the past lover really at this point has to be the little sister or his friend. Leaning more towards the little sister since it would give more justification for her seemingly advanced feelings for him, sorta like how everyone seems to have some sort of attachment to their previous life.

This is like NG Life, but less deep. I like it so far.

Think I'll check it out then.  Really liked NG Life.  Always wished someone could have gotten their hands on some good raws and done it justice--it was often painful to read not because the translation as such was bad, just because the pictures were small and muddy.

Usually, gender bender has to do with the MC.

One of the MCs, rather. If the MC's principal romantic interest is blatantly gender-bent, for instance, we expect to see the tag. Or would you deny that Usotsuki Lily is a gender-bender?

I could go either way. Logically it checks out. On the other hand, I feel like the 'genders from a past life' isn't as important as the 'roles from a past life' right now, and I certainly wouldn't want to label every reincarnation story as a gender-bender.
 
Personally, I'd want to give it another couple chapters to see what direction these themes are going in.

It's funny that Asakawa is so preoccupied with trying to protect Date now, because his sister already has that super covered. By the way, she's awesome.
