Wooooow so much back-and-forth!!!!! Let's be honest though, the doctor dude should go to hell. The girl is still a child, dammit, she's 17!!!! 8 years younger than him!!!!! What a fucker

Well, it is short, but I won't hold it against it. On the contrary, it is quite a feat to make characters so lovely and have some plot resolution/coming of age/character development in run so short!

Glad to have read it. Yoshizumi-sensei does know her stuff! Comparing her works that I've read, I'd say it is only below Marmalade Boy, which, unfortunately, drained her so much to the point of finishing this story earlier! First time I've known a mangaka ax her own manga! Maybe that was for the better though. I don't know if more drama would do it any good. If she could pull a slice-of-life-ish arc, maybe...

And I guess I know now what mangaka do after they finish a series...

Spoiler
The girl isn't cruel. She's a teenager struggling with a lot of different feelings and responsibilities. You might strongly disagree with her decisions and actions, but she's portrayed as a troubled but sincere person. I understand why she might seem cruel to some, but if you're thinking about reading it, don't let that possibility put you off.

The girl is cruel, stupid, and in no way deserves the main love interest.

There are very few mangas that I can say were a waste of my time; this was one of them.

This is much better than it looks.  It's a strong Yoshizumi Wataru manga, which means well-crafted shoujo with pretty good characters and good emotion.

Basically a good classic shoujo that gets those feelings going.
