This wasn't half bad.

The art is beautiful, and really suited my taste.

Since it's only 4 chapters long, the pace had to be fast forward.

Stuff like her liking him just because they sat next to each other on the train, I didn't mind like I usually would.

I think it's because the way Ichinose Rika handled and drew the panels. The pacing with the panels and the dialogue didn't feel like I've seen/read before a thousand times.

The female MC wasn't hat annoying, and had some quirks to her that made her seem charming and straightforward

Sure, she still has some of the typical traits of a shoujo heroine, but she seems more tough and direct than a lot others.

She only ever really cries once, and the buildup to it made it feel like the crying was well deserved, and to just get all the unrequited emotions out of her system.

Even if Chika was a mean bitch, part of what she said to Aizawa made sense. Like how Aizawa was being a busybody, since she was trying to lecture her when it's not her business.

We also get a small backstory to Chika that helped explain her character. She was there to support ichikawa yet at the same time she relies on him for her loneliness and emotional support

So while she basically screamed to Aizawa that she's special to him and that he'll never leave her, I thought it was more believable than other shoujo.

Ichinose drew the girls' multiple confrontations with fierce piercing glares from both sides, and I thought she really captured a lot of their emotions and mental toughness in those drawings.

I think that's part of the reason why this manga turned out better than expected.

But, what I didn't like was the cop out in the end.

Ichikawa said that what he felt all along toward chika wasn't love, because he's feeling it with Aizawa.

Bullshit. Their interactions and his reactions during those times wasn't enough time so hint/convince me otherwise.

Either have her getting over this unrequited love and finding someone else, or add another few chapters for them to interact.

He even rejects her, saying he can't respond to her feelings - he cant respond meaning he has no reaction to her feelings. Which means he doesn't feel anything for her aka does not like her.

If he had some feeling for her, Ichinose could have handles it better and drawn him more conflicted.

Unfortunately, he was mostly passive and just occasionally laughed.

Since he's been dating/kissing/having sex with Chika for so long, I don't think there's any mistake of his feelings how can Ichinose cop out and say he mistook his feelings as love?

Then why was he kissing her and stuff? If he didn't feel/like it, he would not have continued that.

That's why he romance for the main couple was so unbelievable honestly.

I didn't even mind the angst and drama since up to that point, everything seems to fairly make sense and even domestic violence happens in real life often, so I didn't feel this were too overdramatic.

Overall, not a bad manga, save the romance in the end felt empty and bland.

I know the ratings are hella unreliable at times but wow...sometimes I wonder how stuff like this gets 4 stars other than the fact most people who rate it probably liked it. I digress. It wasn't...too bad I guess...definitely could've been done better.

it's because a 5-point system isn't particularly accurate. i prefer a 10-point system and i would rank this a 7, which equals a 4-star. others may do the same.

^.^ ^.^

In a way, I kinda didn't want them to end up together, but either way it was a nice read. I liked how Aizawa supported him ;v;

I hope Ichika becomes happy from the bottom of my heart... Even though she was a b*tch and a half.

Huh. It was pretty good. No stress. I would have liked to see more of her friends though. They were funny.

I thought it was pretty decent.  The male lead is a bit passive, but IMO basically a nice guy, which is a step up from some shoujo male lead types.  And he doesn't really fit any shoujo stereotype (she's pretty typical, but it's fine because I like her type).  The emotional/plot complications are fairly well done.  And it moves along at a good clip.  Really, not half bad.

Thanks for your work!  ^-^

Thank you Chibi Manga! ;u;

It seems I have readthe first two chapter before but I forgot it until seeing them with the splash scene :D Anyways, good read as I like the characters and the general feeling, so thank you very much Chibimanga :)

I hate male leads like this. I always come away from these Manga thinking that the female lead could, and should, have done better for herself.

Thanks Chibi Manga~

Oh ggood she is a fast confessor. I hate Mangas that take 50 chapters for that.
Yessssss. It updated. TYVM Chibimanga!
yes, finally! ♥
Chapter 2 will be ready in 22 hours. @Omnilordxvi, thank you for reading Momoiro Heaven :>
