wait...that's it? how dissapointing
Not just an advertisement, but it also did a hackjob with the first volume. I've read the first two volumes that have been translated over on Baka-Tsuki and honestly this series does do a good job standing out. The hero is very amusing and not your usual dense lead. There is quite a bit of death, and in the first volume of the girls murdered gets a bit more screen time so you might actually care when she's found dead. Plus too many people are comparing it to light novels that came out AFTER this one did so the only way for it to really separate itself plot wise will be in future volumes, not in the first one.
So anyone who disliked the manga, should at least give the first two volumes of the LN a chance before passing judgement. Sadly there is no one working on the novel currently, but hopefully someone will pick it up soon.
The guy doing the translation of the light novel does he have a site? would someone please give me the link cuz i can't really find it.
to be fair, it was clearly meant to advertise the light novels, not a full adaptation of the series, so naturally there'll be unfinished, unanswered contents. Also, ending is not rushed because they covered the events in v1 of the LN (which ended in that manner)
so what should be said would be to curse it for being only advertisement for the light novels.
well.. this series is finished
rating: 7 out of 10
Interesting plot, character, story
bad adaptation
unfinished, unanswered contents
rushed ending
Damn what a train wreck.
There is no such things as mangas that only exist for promotion.
If you knew even a little about how publshing works, you wouldn't be writing crap like this.
There is no such thing as "promoting" mangas, either they sell and continue, or they don't sell and they get scrapped. It can be popular, but being below average for a magazine or having very poor tanko sales can cause the manga to get scrapped. That is all. No one cares about some readers subjective opinion, all that matters are sales.
This manga was mostly decent until the these last chapters, the ending was pretty disappointing. Thanks for your work in this manga Japanzai.
I guess that source material of most of these adaptations are way better than this kind mangas but who can think that these mangas are good publicity for the novels if most of them are mediocre at best.
NTR would be pretty harsh in this world.
You get beaten by some stronger dude and your bitch falls for his swordmanship immediately.
Additionally, I gotta stop reading LN teaser manga expecting anymore then what I am receiving.
uuuuh all those corny lines make me cringe... in a bad way...
not axed, promotional manga aways have this shit end.
I know it wasnt the best, but damn that ending was terrible... I guess the axe will do that to most mangas...
nop, not really. I experienced some good mangas who ended because they were just for promoting, even though they were popular. Some didn't even have the time to get "popular". No doubt this one was poorly adapted just for the sakes of promoting the LN.
this was so hilariously bad
I'm of a mind to agree, but "it's just an LN promo, don't take it seriously" never sits right in my mind. This is a series published in a magazine with the intention of piquing our interest in the LN, sure, but to do that it has to be interesting throughout. It fails in this regard, in addition to its already abysmal quality and convoluted presentation, and the only interesting part of the manga was the first two or three chapters. The only impression I've received of the LN in this regard is that it's equally uninteresting and convoluted--just with fewer awful visuals. I consider my time thoroughly wasted.
Bottom line: this shouldn't have received anywhere near a year's worth of publishing attention, because every facet of it is unsatisfying. The author likely could outline a oneshot in the same universe with better execution that actually DOES make us interested in the LN featuring said universe.
seemed like the axe came and visited
Thought we talked about this...
this series is just a LN promo
most times it's best to not read LN promo mangas if you're a serious reader, because there will be many MANY open end questions... because they're technically unfinished...
I, myself don't read LN, so I just read these type of things for fun, most times I skim through it and don't read too deep into it, just looking at pictures, LOL.
This only covers the first volume of the LN, and the LN has 8 volumes already xD
Light Novel
So very lame.
what is LN?
Finally! It's fucking done. He cut her boob is what's unsettling.
