Aaaand as I might have expected, Komura Ayumi was way ahead of me.  I love this mangaka.

who cares about "blood"

Love transcend everything, didn't you learn that from this manga? lol

Plus, who doesn't like TWincest?

Just because they appear at the same time in the same place, it doesn't mean they are of the same blood. I suppose it is a thought that begs one to jump on and the possibility is an extra treat for those who indulge in the taboo. Literal companions for life (whether by blood or not-though I prefer not) A wonderfully written ending where everyone is happy =)

Whoa PL Guy hold it, my virgin ears cannot handle such awesomeness...........

Not the end I expected. So sad - but sweet at the same time.

That was a nice quick read. It's neat to see Komura Ayumi do something different from her usual shoujo once in a while.

oh god...didnt expect that kind of plotwist

its touching and tragic at the same time. there should be tragedy tag for this

Okay. So this is a prequel about 40 years into the past before beggining of UsoLily. Or 43 from current UsoLily.

What a sudden ending, but I can't complain, afterall, its surprising the author actually expanded the idea of a manga within a manga.

DANG.... CRAZY YO!!!

but yea... this series is like the exact opposite of Usotsuki Lily, so dark, mysterious, and GORE!!!

Go read Akame ga Kill! and then come back and say that...

DANG.... CRAZY YO!!!

Really? I thought this was pretty light. It just feels like Usotsuki Lily + shounen. :3

Man, I don't think you've seen a truly dark, mysterious, or gore manga yet.

DANG.... CRAZY YO!!!

Didn't see that coming at all...

Just like in Usotsuki Lily, there is a lot more blood involved in this compared to a typical shoujo, only in a non-humorous way :)

@Purple Library Guy

I find it interesting that you mention her father since he hasn't had much involvement so you lost me for a bit in that first part but generally, you've summed up the usual quite nicely. It's similar to other general "star-crossed lover" stories where the enemy is known to be notorious in his methods and such but is "transformed" upon meeting his counterpart.

No, I meant because this is "The manga Komachi in Usutsoki Lily's father writes about her".  And this guy character is, in Usutsoki Lily, her loving boyfriend Kojirou, a gentle soul who is nuts about her.  So presumably how he's written is a reflection of how her father in Usutsoki Lily sees him.  And I have this vague recollection of him being a bit iffy at first but them getting along splendidly after a bit, although I could be wrong.  If my vague recollection is correct, it would make sense for him to be written as a threatening character at first, and then to have his portrayal mellow once the dad writing it gets to like him.

That make more sense?  As I say, it's a bit meta.  But it's a direction I can imagine Komura-sensei thinking.

But then, I wasn't expecting this latest twist at all, so who knows?

Well, that escalated quickly.

I wonder if it's possible that he simply wanted to give her a determination/incentive to defeat god knowing that she was hesitant....I only came to this conclusion after reading this chapter twice so maybe I'm just over analyzing.

By the way, it's possible for Komachi to have originally been from this land and Kojirou was switched with her at birth somehow right? Unless I missed something but considering the uniqueness of his features, it's likely and could the object that brought her to this world being a pocket watch serve as some sort of evidence since in past times, more associated with the west. Well anything is possible at this point and I'm sure I'm not the first to have come to this but it's nice to lay it out there.

lol this guy. He's turned out to be less of a hard ass than I thought he'd be. What's his angle?

Well, he's Kojirou, so presumably he's fallen for her.

There's some extra meta-ness implicit too I think--her dad may have first seen Kojirou as a dangerous interloper out to grab his daughter, therefore his alter-ego = dangerous badass badguy, and then come to accept him, hence his alter-ego = transform to good guy love-interest.

is this also released bi-weekly?? or it really depends? anyway i really found this interesting. :)

Epicness <3

I adore this!  Komachi is my favorite character in Usotsuki Lily, so it is quite fun to see this version of her in her father's manga.  It also provides Komura Ayumi more opportunities for action.  I like her dynamics with the other characters, and it is very amusing to see this version of Kojirou...and speaking in first person.  :D
