Haha I read it all in one shot. I saw an episode or two of the anime way back when. I don't know if there was more, I guess I can look it up. This manga was kind of fun though.

Hilariously enough, this is one of the places Ecchi manga began. Go Nagai invented Ecchi as a genre, and IIRC this one was a response to his critics demanding he clean his act up.

So while some people can find faults with it -- it's an ancient manga, after all -- never forget that every Ecchi manga we enjoy today came as a direct result of Go Nagai and his perversions, and his steadfast and complete refusal to be censored back in the day. If the Japanese publishers of his era had had their way, the most risque manga we'd ever have seen would have been Sailor Moon.

Sailor Moon? HA! If Japanese publishers of his era had their way, even Sailor Moon wouldn't have gotten the green light. Don't forget, (one of) Go Nagai's next major works after this was Devilman. A story where the protagonist FAILS and humanity is EXTERMINATED in the Apocalypse. (Which, ironically after Kekkou Kamen, got criticized for being too violent/dark)

It wasn't until the '80s did the gloves finally start to come off with Fist of the North Star's post-nuclear apocalyptic war, "you are already dead" gore explosions.
