Welp. That was certainly interesting. I felt a little underwhelmed with the ending, but, at least it was an ending with some hope to it.

My guess for chapter four? Well, it's a bit long, and would spoil some of chapter three for those who haven't read it. It's in the spoiler tag below.

"Remember how I mentioned there's another room like this on the other side? Yeah, the one you fell asleep while walking to. Well the documents there said there were a bunch of failed subjects, and I'm burying them."

Something along those lines. The only ways this can really go are:

Yes, it's exactly as it seems. He killed them, and is trying to bury them without her finding out.

No, it's not like that. They were already dead, and he's simply trying to give them a proper burial, or as close as they can get considering the circumstances. Why didn't he tell her, or have her help? Perhaps he, having noticed how shaken up she was from the first one, decided to spare her further torment by not involving her in the burial. Were this the case, I imagine he would tell her the next morning. He couldn't simply not tell her, as the mounds of dirt are rather... unsubtle.

I assumed they were incomplete subjects. The guy died because he wasn't able to breathe the air yet.
