Just came across this one, can't help noticing the weirdly drawn feet

With the trend the MC doing things, people like him probably taking being protected as something granted to him and he never ever realize that everybody else other than  him can have problem (a selfish self-victimizing guy who loath that he is the only one in the world having the heaviest dramatic problem in the history of mankind), and when Makoto is actually having problem in the past he just being extremely dense and didn't realize it until she becomes like that. In the past he didn't even try to protect his own self and relying to her all the time, the MC is the one who makes things twisted.

Actually they are on equal footing in the "abandoned by parents" role. Remember he's explained that his parents are overseas and his sister is gone as well. So basically he's dealing with the same loneliness as she is but, on top of it he seems to have a situation where "dangerous developments" happen to him 100% of the time. He walks outside he's guaranteed to be bit by a dog/ mistaken for a prankster/ mistaken for a molester or some other ridiculously random encounter of disaster. It's not paranoia if they are really out to get you.

Finally, they've kinda clarified that her "loneliness" wasn't the sole cause for her decent into madness. That another being with power was slowly manipulating her into the land of nuts. And it was a "subtle" change up until the end. She would buy a new weird product again and again trying to help his unluckiness (he also *did* blame himself for her becoming an occult character in one of the chapters).

My personal hypothesis? The reason he's unlucky is basically vendetta by that said "power". It's been manipulating things in the shadows for years because it really truly does want him in the grave.

This was not satisfying.

I feel the author felt Mikoto's struggle needed be made okay/resolved and so they wrote this. Just explained her feelings away and MC just light heartedly says they'll always be friends. As long as Mikoto's ends up happy I don't ultimately mind, but this was definitely a quick fix.

This was more like Author wanted to shutdown any chances of Mikoto having an actual good arc.

The plot twist is...

phew the childhood friend end up okay although I hope MC would start paint his ball with steel.

It's pretty obvious that Eru will be the main love interest, just so that she can end up abandoning godhood in some twist of irony so she can stay with Nowaki. Can't bring myself to like Bambi considering she's as bad as the MC is, wanting to talk to him but being unable to. And I feel bad for Mikoto. He treats her like a child when she wants to be seen as a woman by him

What "EH"? Come on, don't be so incredibly surprised. You can't always use being that unbelievably fucking dense as a plot device. I usually read romcoms to switch off my brain, have a good laugh and just relax, but it can be pretty painful to read sometimes, I swear to god

Honestly, I feel so sorry for Makoto. She doesn't know how to express her feelings and the protagonist is among the denser in the world so he's literally useless in helping her open up which drives her into this weird corner she now finds herself in. 

I hate that, even more than just being dense, he dismisses her. It seems she's been helping him out since they were really young and he's never been grateful or tried to understand her.
