Aside from that, I'm not really feeling the love. It seems contrived, I'm not getting much individual personality from the characters, it's not very funny but for a situation where there's doomed love and characters longing for death it also doesn't dish much emotion or drama. And I have this weird feeling that behind the meddling machinations of the mysterious character Hans there is . . . nothing much; no real motivation underlying it, it feels like he just exists because a spanner in the works was needed. Someone could have taken this basic setup and done something interesting with it, but this feels kind of blah to me.
