It's more than just "kind". One of the beliefs of Arthurian legends is the denial of "Might makes Right" and that a King is supposed to protect their people not just "rule" them. Since the "enemy" army is essentially made up of citizens who are entirely in dispute over the million king system.. it becomes murky on how to deal with such a foe. By killing them yes the problem is solved in the short term but, down the line it could lead to more rebellions.
Yes he's a self depreciating coward... because he got thrown into a war he wanted no part of, against beings many times his size, all because he had a "qualification". You DO realize this guy was basically just wanting to live with his sister for the rest of his days in peaceful serenity right? He's not a legendary hero (yet) and furthermore he didn't WANT to be one. So I can understand why a 15 or so year old kid would really rather not fight to the death like some gladiatorial sacrifice immediately after being told to "go do it" .

As stupid and idiotic as some of my old comments are, I find it wonderful to read what I thought in the past. Its awful thing being unable to say "I did not like this" simply because you don't want to be shamed by the majority. It can also be cathartic to go back and learn that the 'majority' actually weren't the majority. (I have soooooooooo many mangas in the follows list that were dropped and abandoned cause no one actually gave a damn about them)
When you see an unfamiliar title in your follows list, so you look for your comments(if any).
I wish I could delete my old comments sometimes. I'v no idea why i got so frustrated over something so insignificant to leave a comment like that, when i could have just left the page and went on with my life.
