I think you may be misreading and underestimating Tendou. Remember she's been chasing her own love and has been pretty dedicated to it, I mean that's part of why she was ticked with Yuu to begin with, that they are in a similar situation but he was being passive. I don't think she's the type to be swayed by a little bit of kindness, after all if that was the case she would have likely accepted Tsubasa's friendship. To me Tendou and Yuu have more of a begrudging respect kind of relationship, something like frienemies. They're perceptive of each other's weaknesses so they tend to clash but that clash helps push both of them to see and face those weaknesses. Though they don't particularly like each other, there can exist an undercurrent of respect as they share a similar struggle, and though each would loathe to admit it, at times what was said to them was right and even helped. I've never felt their relationship to be romantic, on the contrary, I think their relationship is what helped to push progress in the OTP.
Why is that weird, they’re not blood-related.
In fact, my mother and father are married, and my fathers sister (was - she passed) married to my mother’s brother. My parents met first and my uncle and aunt met in their teens.
I mean... yes? That's exactly what I was saying? I'm not sure how it doesn't make sense to you. It's weird because of the context. If they had siblings who weren't dating each other, it would be less weird.
It's because of their "paper" relationship, that it's weird. Just like the time-honored shoujo tradition of dating your step-sibling is weird. Just like dating your brother's ex-gf is weird. Just like dating your adopted uncle is weird. In fact, just like dating your wife's adopted daughter is weird (*cough*Woody Allen*cough*).
I said it was weird, not incestuous. And obviously it's just my opinion, but this relationship feels like those obnoxious "pair the spare" situations to me, where the author shoehorns a couple together out of the leftover side characters.
Oh no, oh hell no. Look, I'm happy Tendou's back, I love her and Yuu's twisted camaraderie, I think they really do get each other and all, but that ship CANNOT leave port. Sink it right now. Fly a plane into it. Drop a nuke or something. Kidnap Tachibana and have him swear eternal love at gunpoint if you have to. I really really hope Tendou's about to bite Yuu's hand off, and I hope that expression is her being angry angry, and not conflicted feelings angry because we just had a drama storm we don't need a hurricane season!
Well, I sure lost that bet. But what ended up happening was interesting.
This pairing(HotaruXSora) is a whole lot of nope, just in my opinion. Especially if Hotaru is in middle school and Sora being, probably a few years older than Tsubasa, maybe around 20. They would have a minimum of 6 years of age difference. She would be 14 and he would be 20. It would be okay, probably, if Hotaru was, let's say 20, and Sora was 26... I do really like both characters though, but as a lot of other commenters have mentioned, I really do not want them to be together...

It's not "just" their siblings though. Technically speaking, Sora and Hotaru are also childhood friends too, just with a much larger age gap. You could look at it like two types of childhood friends get together.
Also why is it weird if two people who are related only by law get in a relationship? The only thing that changes is that there's a piece of paper floating around somewhere that "makes" them family. Are you saying that it'd be okay for Hotaru and Sora to be together if Tsubasa and Yuu weren't in a relationship? You're not making any sense dude.
Is double in-law marriage illegal in general or in certain countries? I mean, technically it isn't incest.
Looking at it from another point of view, Sora x Hotaru are now the main couple because they've kissed. Yuu and Tsubasa is a sideshow getting in the way of the OTP.
Ichinose family doing all the chasing and the Ayano family doing all the running away.
I don't like the HotaruxSora pairing, just because it's weird in context with the main pairing. Like, two childhood friends get together... and their siblings also date? Their siblings who are opposites in terms of age (one's the younger sister and the other's the older brother)? Too weird. If one of the couples get married, then the other pair would be dating their sister/brother-in-law.
My bet was on the forehead, that or a head-butt followed by some words about saving her kiss for when she is older.
It'd be an interesting surprise if things go that way though.
I put the chances in the other direction. "Don't whine later" means "I've been holding back all this time but now a serious adult kiss is incoming. Prepare to go find your socks after they are knocked off."

Also yeah I ain't sailing this ship, and (thankfully) it doesn't look like Sora is either.
