The funny thing is, from what I've seen of artists in the real world, I'm fairly certain the author is just a little worse than average at hiding things and even then damn unlucky at getting caught.
The author is a loose cannon that needed to be put down
I find the idea amazing that a manga could get cancelled for such a thing. Which makes me want to read it,yet knowing its cancelled means even if I did I couldn't see it through to the true ending.
