I didn't care if they ended together, but this could have be a great sitcom.

I really liked the non-ending. It was fitting for a manga completely about a girl who really didn't want to be involved with the guy and the guy forcing himself into her life.

It was a fun ride nonetheless.

This seems . . . odd.  How to put it--the opposition violated the code.  If gangsters go around outing each other as gangsters, it's bad for business.  People who do that, nobody's going to deal with them.  No way can you replace a prominent Yakuza family if everyone knows you're a stoolie.

Yeah, but those guys didn't seem like gangsters though. More just a group of wannabe gangsters setting unrealistic goals for themselves by the look of things. That's how I understood it, at least.

Isn't it kinda sucky to warn him about how being her being the women he loves will bring her harm in the vaguest possible setting to someone as dense as him. If they didn't send people to secretly watch out for them then the dad is pretty shitty.

He (the dad) probably hired the thugs anyway simply to put on a show or some roundabout responsibility thing.
