I really liked this one, and Psyren, and his other works. It's a shame most of them didn't get longer serialization. Can't wait for the next one!

Noooooooooooooooope, this is not the same, Mx0 was great and didn't deserve that axed ending, this one on the other side was wow... you could tell from a mile that this was gonna end
it's sad because it got a lot of potential (it was from the creator of Psyren, and psyren was good T.T)

Actually this manga was doomed fairly early on, but some circumstances happened to help it stay alive. It should have been axed right after Ultra Battle Satellite, but thanks to Lady Justice and Devily Man being so bad, and a rise in the rankings for a few weeks starting with chapter 23, this series was able to limp along. But once those two got axed it's days were numbered. I'll look forward to the authors next work and hope for a better result.
It was axed, this week in WSJ is the last chapter.
Sigh. I really enjoyed Mako's antics more than Kyosuke's screentime.

Dunno why I thought the ending would be better than the hack job on Psyren.
I really dislike tournament arcs, cause its just an excuse to introduce a power scale and opponents for the MC with battle scenes rather than introduce them with good backstory. Im not surprised if this series got the axe, since none of the characters are memorable, and the author just tries to add more rather than develop them, not to mention all new characters were quite forced. (quantity over quality)
They aren't that bad if played right, of course there were some mangas/manhwa where tournament made sense but i've read far too many and all the titles are jumbled in my mind. But i guess it mostly works in those older works, for example yuyu hakusho.
Well regarding this manga i sure am dissapointed, maybe because i expected something like psyren (not story-wise, but lenght-wise).
The first chapter suggests it... but now that the series got axed we might not see how this tragedy happened like the author envisioned it.
That totally didn't come out of nowhere and totally doesn't mean the series was axed. Nope.
We're just getting rid of:
1. Tournament arc.
2. "Fight with the asshole" redemption/revenge arc.
3. Any future fights with Mako. Seriously, an interesting concept that was used maybe two or three times. Though I guess she'll use her powers to find MC when he closes the rift... somehow.
Aaaand we're jumping straight to the end-game. Moments after MC gained a new way of learning how to control his buddy more efficiently. That's like Bleach ending right after Ichigo gains his Bankai.
