He won the gfc, he will get serialized in the future.
Art is good but the premise is boring. No more exorcist stories! Come up with something different!
Pretty decent for a one-shot. Though one thing I think the author should focus on is making me empathize with the characters.
If I was writing this, also I'd make it so not everyone uses demon fire. These two guys can use fire because they were dispatched against an ice demon, but I'd continue the story by giving the girl "demon ice" powers as a result of having the demon sealed inside her/her encounter... Like, getting attacked by the demons and surviving gives you a bit of their power, which is how everyone gets their power. Then she can act as the reader's vehicle for getting introduced to the organization and having all the basic setting shit explained to us. Also as punishment for hiding his failure (when he sealed the ice demon in the girl 4 years ago), he gets punished with training her or something. (And tbh, she should be pretty strong because the ice demon was something he couldn't defeat without training for 4 years, plus it was sealed inside her for so long, the mangaka shouldn't make her a useless token female character who's only there to get stuff explained to her).
Also give the MC a backstory where he was attacked by the fire demon king or whatever, which is why his powers are so strong, but the demon king escaped and now his life mission is to hunt him down and get revenge for burning down the orphanage where he grew up and killing his friends, etc.
Anyway. Good luck to the author... The story has potential if they have the imagination beyond what's shown here
Too much chuuni and cliche, too little common sense. Meh.
Thanks anyways
Manhwa and webtoons are usually korean/chinse, this is a Japanese manga. Don't compare them.
Mangas that runs are usually which sells more, not your personal taste.
One shots are usually sent to publishers in the form (usually) of competition for aspiring mangaka and the like. (This might get serialized, you never know)
Also.stfu
kinda mediocre..
lets see if the mangaka can turn things around if this got serialized
That was such a chuuni move at the end.
I honestly find characters similar to "Koori-san" to be insufferable. "Oh hey there are demons that will kill you and might kill everyone around you as well" to which she basically replies "I don't care, leave me alone". The fact that there needs to be sad story to convince her just goes to show that she has been spoiled to all hell (So much so that she doesn't even realize that she is literally about to die without him.)..
I am somewhat tired of characters like that, who're in a situation where they might die at any moment and the only reason why they're alive is because of someone saving them, and them not actually being able to appreciate that.
