i think this is the best apocalypse themed series i have read by far. itou junji is such a genius.
Good stuff.
Really great sense of dread in the beginning of Hellstar Remina. A little bit of fun with the goofy fanclub president, but dark and dreadful otherwise. Then it turns insane with super hobo. I liked it, but felt it would have been better if it didn't get so ridiculous.
Army of One was pretty cool too, but the ending could have been way better. No explanation behind the murders. Just a bunch of graphic kill scenes...
I mean, literally everything has failed them: science, society, reason, religion....all bogus because there's a fucking planet destroyer of astral bodies licking Earth.
All hope's lost and we're all gonna die anyway, if there's even a ghost of a chance that killing some random gal will make thigs better, I can see a bunch of people going for it out of absolute desperation.

little did they know that the real fun is just about start..
i mean 2 girls, 4 guys, and 1 year of free time.. its probably gonna get really interesting ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I liked this. Don't get me wrong, is stupid as fuck, but I liked it.
I love Itou Junji's work, read most of them but almost all his stories are so open-ended and finish with no explanation, it's very disappointing.

Heh. I don't think people would act like that. Atleast definetly NOT(or not 99% of them) all of them. People are stupid, but not all of them.
I really would like to know how is that the people disappeared, Hipnotism? Mental Virus? Aliens? An Organization? really how the hell disappeared five hundred persons in that short time?
