What can I say? This didn't leave any big impression on me, neither positive nor negative, the concept was interesting but the execution seems totally alien to my tastes so my final thoughts were something like "this exists, I read it and that's it", it was really odd (not the oneshot, which is fairly easy to understand but my reaction). Anyway, thanks for this and I will probably read it again sometime to see if my reaction changes.

Have you ever seen the eyes of a young (few months old) baby?
Normally they don't have that wide-eyed focused stare. Compare them with the woman's eyes on page 25 when she's possessed.
I think the mangaka deliberately drew the baby's eyes that way to imply possession.

It's a haunted gun, imbued with the spirit of the first animal that it ever killed (Jaguar). It drives a killing frenzy into whom ever handles it. Near the end, when the gun was destroyed the spirit left the gun and went into the woman and then passed into her kid. (note the baby's eyes in the last panel).

I don't buy the second part.

Yeah, i'm just a bit captivated by the surrealism of it. But other than the story is "meh".
