She seems fine? From what little we see of their past together, all she did was order him around. There's literally no equality in their relationship. She pushes him around and for whatever reason, he was too afraid to confront her properly about it, choosing instead to run away to another college. I mean I suppose some people like master-servant relationships, but I'd never want to get together with someone like her unless she actually made a concentrated effort to be less conniving.
Did she actually confess to him before he left? I doubt it.
