This seems better than most Isekai story I've read mmm...
At the very least the MC should be pretty mature mmm...
Gramps got hit and disabled by the "isekai" truck years ago. But the queue was full of young, arrogant pricks so he had to wait in the hospital bed for his turn.
That's the story in my head, anyhow. For once we have a deserving protagonist.
Its the start of an adventure.

I keep thinking few years from know old dying people would wan't to plug in into VR.
Worst still , They aren't the worst thing out there cause there are a lot of non english sites.
Just got to upload your personality to the internet, and then become Kayaba and infect every computer on Earth and be able to appear to a certain black swordsman when you want to, completely ignoring all logic. But hey, we lost logic a few steps ago, didn't we?

I'm fine with that, if I ever get so old and get stuff like arthritis or whatever that make it so I can't even pick up and use a controller or a mouse and keyboard I would gladly welcome some new age technology that just needs me to strap a visor on my face and lay down, right now though I think I am a bit to busy with life stuff to truly lose myself in something so immersive.
What a mess of a first chapter, way too many characters, way too many cuts into different scenes. Other than it being an isekai, we don't really know what is supposed to be interesting about this particular story. Other than the MC being filthy rich, that is.
Well, that's nothing new.

Wait for it.... Wait for iiiittt.... I was actually thinking of Shishigami from Inuyashiki, which also had a senior hero who made me feel stuff, not Hitogami.
Though Mushoku Tensei manages to occasionally make me feel stuff, too. (Though, knowing that there's going to be a shameless Harem ending turns me off...)
I like it. A man who is nearing the end of his life goes on an new adventure. Gave me feels.

MC (Grandpa) is like some of us.....we will become old man/woman by the time VR gaming technology reach that stage.....
Hope it sticks to the oddly realistic tones and themes they showed here, I think all of us need more contentment and happiness like the old man has in our lives, even if it comes disguised as action-adventure isekai.
Me too, I can't wait until we get to see some orukks and turolls, too! Classic fantasy staple enemies.
Jokes aside, thanks for your work, LHTrans, y'all are seriously tackling a ridiculous load of series. Make sure not to kill off any of your team with overwork.
Second isekai manga ive read where the mc is an old man reincarnated to his younger self or something, hope this one is better though like my old man, still has a sex drive of 20 year old fuckboy. Ahhh bless his soul
