Dead?

Jeez Louise, Papa Cheese, just two chapters made me vomit all that? I do apologize, I should try to keep my walls of text limited from now on. Like, only after five chapters, maybe. Now what should I do about this one...

Throw a blanket over it?

For what it's worth, I appreciate people taking note of the complex issues this series tries to tackle. So I don't think you have to worry. If anything, your large wall of text cements Andou's position in which normal people won't analyse fictional works in this much depth which causes situations like Hatoko's outburst to occur due to the build up of stress at being unable to comprehend your nerd talk.

well, the anime was nice.

What dilemma? Theres literally no need for their superpowers. They could decide not to use their powers and that would be the end of the story. This isn't X-Men where they have to use their superpowers simply to survive the fact that society is trying to legally murder them for no fault of their own.

I'm just referring to the overall moral dilemma of the powers existing at all. They have these powers, and the dilemma is how to use them, if at all. Obviously they're going to use them or there would be no story, but the question is how do they use it? Even someone raised in a peaceful world will still have hard questions, and the injured cat was a decent example trying to illustrate the point. A cat on death's door, would have certainly died otherwise.

[continue]....

I don't necessarily agree with your premise here. You make it sound like the question has no merit unless the person who inherits this superpower is in some state of extreme poverty, or otherwise dangerous circumstances, where using such a power for broadly selfish or other reasons is more likely. While it might be more interesting to see someone who lives desperately receive such ridiculous powers and then have to confront the moral questions associated with them, it doesn't mean there's no value in these kids dilemma.

If thats what the author is trying to do, hes failing at it horribly.

A major part of the question of 'how power should be used' is the individual/group asking the question. A high schooler who lives ignorantly in a "peaceful" world will obviously have a radically different answer than an illiterate child soldier living/fighting in Afghanistan. By setting the entire cast as born and raised in "peacetime Japan", the question is bullshit.

Subsequently, yes. This is just your 'run-of-the-mill, mass-produced teen-milking shit.' [/spoiler]

Anyone else skipping a lot of dialogue, the premise is interesting but the chuuni ravings are annoying and off putting.

Hum, is it me, or pretty much nobody mentions the fact that this is trying to be more than a simple harem/slice-of-life/high-schoolers-with-super-powers story?

The author actually tries to raise the question about how power should be used. This usual background found in the usual overly done tropes hides a more serious, mature problematic dealing with right and wrong. Is it right to use this power? Is it wrong to impose it on others? All the damned cat sequence has more to teach and make you think than a dozen series aimed at the same demographic!

Sure, the male lead may be annoying for some, and the "important" stuff might get drowned in the usual comedy, but come on, this isn't just your run-of-the-mill, mass-produced teen-milking shit.

Thank you so much for the chapter 2, i liked the anime, but meh... its really hard to see a sequel.

AN UPDATE? MEIN GODS, THANK YOU BASED BLACK FOX SCANS.

You're welcome. :)

That was a kinda Gintama-ish joke there, and his tsukkomi is almost at par with Shinpachi

AN UPDATE? MEIN GODS, THANK YOU BASED BLACK FOX SCANS.

I want more ;_;

I also wish the LN was being translated...

Why dose it have a harem tag I checked on Myanimelist and Manga update and it didn't have one on either of those sites for the anime, manga or novel.

you could see that the childhood friend is a candidate and the red hair girl is clearly the other one, it's a good idea, but it has some cliches, and how it looks, the harem is one of them xD

maybe his awakened form  is Amaterasu or like one of King of Fighter (Kyo or Ryo I think was the name)

I like this. I want more of this chuuni

I'd really like to know more about the ability of Andou. It seems useless but it would be hilarious if it's actually something totally OP like the 4 other girls. ^^

Well, this thing will have an anime adaptation in some time according to Anicharts. Just have to wait.

Did anyone notice in page 5 chapter 1 panel 6 bottom left that tomoyo say "a tolerant guy like myself"?

Andou is saying that, not Tomoyo. To be precise, he is thinking it.

That MC is kinda special but I wonder if nothing really would happen at all.

Meh I'll follow it since it seems like a different kind of harem
