hmm reading through this, these guys are basically a General AI in human form aren't they.

Their main ability is constantly optimising for solutions, since they don't value human life they eliminate it at first sign that it's needed. They are tricked by the introduction of a local maxima which they will always go for as a solution. They are more complete when they have a singular task and will do what ever it takes to get there. All we need now is an innocent devil whose goal is to collect and create stamps and we are good to go.

Yes.

It's weird. It's a toss up depending on how much BS you want to believe. It's about serial killers. Main one wants answers as to why she is the way she is, and some companies are trying to weaponize them.

They go into pseudo-psychological explanations from time to time which I think are kind of funny, but I like the art in it mostly.

That doesn't help much, but I'd at least say just read up to when they discover the maid girl and that fight. If you don't like it then, skip it.

I have no idea what Sensei wants to do though. A society made out of innocent devils would be ungovernable and no one wants to live near someone who can kill them without thinking about it.

Sensei doesn't "want" anything. She is simply obsessed with innocent devils and considers regular people boring compared to her "research subjects". In a way, she is even less human than the devils.

Can't see this working out for professor since her pet is starting to get jealous now.

This reminds me a lot of the manga about the girl who was attracted to serial killers/people who had the potential to become one.

It was just as campy, and had mostly the same artstyle.

Still, now I kinda understand the 'supernatural' tag. Killing without the intent to kill seems pretty absurd.

Trying to utilize super-human psychopaths seems like one of the dumbest ideas humanly possible.

Seems like they'd be useful if you wanted a lot of people killed, and that's a large and growing industry, which has been consistently well-funded throughout history.
