But what it takes to have an interesting story or something which pulls the audience? It can be setting inside an interesting world, characters, artwork when combined with the earlier two.. Nope. Pants, boobs and long princess hair. Those are the answers nowdays.

Boobs are very important.

Well at least several manhuas, manhwas and mangas are suffering from the same cliche. Protagonist is either a dork or an idiot, usually both, then they suddenly go some stupid transformation, go apeshit, rip some poor dudes face off, then go like "what am i?".. While the concept of powerless protagonist suddenly gaining power is the same in many many manhwas and mangas, authors never approach this change from different angle. Its always the same

Take early Naruto for one example how it could be done. Protagonists power is hinted and built in for long perioid of time, story focusing on building the character and another stuff which might be important for the character, then subtly released after a time on some chapter yet still left being somewhat ambiguous to what extend it works. After a long while when cat is completely out of the bag, characters power is built on many different aspects and not only his "op" power he gained from random occurence.

Nowdays its just "idiot does stupid shit, gets super powers, villain introduces itself, protagonist has no reason to fight him, protagonist loses something important to him, villain and hero fight, the end." what happens between that time feels shallow and boring. While this is partially blamed on the industry where you HAVE to do a table sweep and get the audience in a snap or you will get axed.
