It's so satisfying to have finished a manga that was nicely concluded. My only complaint would be about the second half of the story. The concept of Medusa was great, and it gave the story potential to be something bigger. Since the revelation about the truth behind Medusa, it seemed like there was a sudden shift in genre from survival horror to something like a shounen battle manga (I didn't sign up for this). It's probably a personal thing, and ultimately, this manga is still worth reading.

Wow, I really regret having not read this till now! It's fantastic!!

Still a great read after all these years, though the ending caught me off guard and that omake got pretty meta.

This was really interesting, but I didn't ep understand the end. Was it Kasumi or Shizuku who died?

kasumi.

shisuku created a new kasumi with her powers

Oh? It ended there! Shame :C
And wow, that twist actually got me. I remember seeing the first chapter in an anime magazine years ago and it stuck with me. Actually getting to read the whole thing was great. I gotta say Im a big fan of Iwahara-sensei's work now, especially the art.
This is a really good manga in my opinion. You won't regret reading it especially If you like horror, psychological and mystery manga.

The character development is great for all the characters except maybe for the Tim and Ron, but it's still not bad. The plot is good with an interesting and surprising twist. I truly didn't see many things coming and was surprise while reading this manga which doesn't happen often in my case. The drawing is good even though you can find better.

Though, there is a bad point in my opinion, but it's insignificant: I just would have prefer the ending or, to be precise, the idea in the very last page of the story to be slightly different. But, even like it is, I still like the overall ending. It only makes it just good while the author could have made it awesome with little modifications in my opinion.
I just didn't like the very last bit, I think it was a bit rushed, but anyway nice plot, nice characters and nice art.
If you're going to read anything that shares a tag with this, read this too :D
king of thorns 2002
DtB: SnH 2009 <---good read btw

the author is currently doing another DtB related manga as of 2011, all info courtesy of mangaupdates.com
Sweet, I was really hoping this series would eventually be added. This manga's written and drawn by the same person who did Darker Than Black: Shikoku no Hana (or did this come first?) and its a great series.
King of Thorn (English translation of the title) is a good addition to the genre of survivor story manga. I won't spoil anything because its fairly short with only 36 chapters, but everything from the setting to character design was excellent. It has completely unexpected twists that completely change the direction of the storyline and keep things interesting and fast-moving. It even has a very well-thought-out conclusion. All in all, a great series.
(If you didn't read Shikoku no Hana the comparison was probably lost on you, but just trust me on this one. Its good. Again, this is way less than I'd like to say about it, but I don't want to spoil anything. Enjoy :))
