My only complaint is that I wish he'd have some notes placing where these vignettes happen in the timeline, as I can't see him taking her out in the early days of his gang leadership. I'm assuming this is somewhere between when he admits the story of his past to her, and the recent arc that Crunchyroll so rudely usurped. -_-

I believe that those dates happen all throughout the manga. We sometime saw him on a date with Yumin in SKR's main manga. This happens as soon as chapter 23 where Yumin reveals her past to Ken or more recently before they went to face Ban Phuong's gang. Ken was always close to Yumin but kept himself from getting too close to her because of his "work".

It's kind of funny how he veers so markedly off the action/ecchi highway and onto a food/slice-of-life country road in this series. Whatever, I like it, and it shows the man's talent to be able to do something as different as this. Definitely one of my favorite authors and someone who's underrated by both the industry and fans alike.

"I Want to Feed Yumin" aka "Go on multiple foodie dates with Yumin, see her in cute clothes and poses, and learn about Korean food."

Not really my taste, but I'm probably not the target audience.  Beautiful artwork, and well made, but doesn't really have a "mass appeal."  Just a head's up, since the description's a little sparse and vague.  If you're looking for plot, move along.

Boichi actually used the word "reimen" for Hamheung and Pyongyang cold noodles and not "naengmyeon"? I thought with naengmyeon being a traditional Korean food, it would be written in Katakana to sound the way it's locally pronounced rather than the Japanese pronunciation of reimen.

You can totally see the shoujo manhwa past Boichi had through this since the art has a shoujo feel to it compared to how he draws in Sun-Ken. A really cute fanservice manga. ^^

@Solipsist Boichi is a Korean man, who started with mahnwa, but then started working as a mangaka in Japan. I think we have cooking fests in every of his works, except Hotel, maybe.

(But, damn, Hotel is a manga leaving a burning imprint in our memories, that kind of imprint lasting a lifetime, I guess it's not that much of a big deal if there is no cooking in it ^^)
This is japanese?
It looks incredibly korean.
page 7 was the wrong one, it has been fixed
Thanks to Weaper for uploading this. It shows one way a guy falls in love. You can feel the total appreciation he has for her.

Made me want to find a Korean restaurant too.
...wouldn't a Whitesnake have a white head?

That was a silly little spin-off of SKR.
I keep thinking this manga is using food to represent really hentai stuff, hey there's an ecchi tag.
I had a hard time believing it's a Boichi's work considering such a cute and innocent art style.
"I'd like to feed her with some Purple-headed Whitesnake." - KIdCongo

Whatever that is, it sounds poisonous!
the food is drawn so well i thought mayba they are photos at first, but no i think the food drawing skills are just too epic.

i guess Yumin is cute, but really shes just there, the food is the main character
AHAHAHAHHA. Ch 5. The ending was funny.
I think I'm in love with Yumin, too.
Lmao, Boichi is such a crack-head. Only he could pull this off. <3
Nice, actually love this kind of new and refreshing thanks a bunch Love It.
I think Boichi is in love with one of his characters.
The guy is sneaky but I like him for it.
After the soup I would definitely be sated.even one bowl would have been too much for me.

Thanks for the work.
While I don't read sun-ken-rock, I find this quite entertaining. The POV makes us can feel the lead's feelings/mind too. Not many manga use this POV.
And.. Boichi how can you draw such delicious meal? Now I'm drooling *no, not to yumin, but to the meal XD *
Eh? Why is this tagged as shoujo? -it's eroge translated to the narration of a manga. Some fetish about police girl with shibuya high heels eating and drinking in run down restaurant. Please.
How cute.
I'd like to feed her with some Purple-headed Whitesnake.
