It's like you and this translator tried learning English by picking up random slang from the internet. Like you have a surface understanding of it and think that somehow makes you completely literate. That's annoying. Also if you got off your moral high horse, you would see the main character as a regular, flawed human being who has his own regrets and insecurities. As evident from the first chapter, to him it seems like he was never able to overcome these things and married a woman he might not even like all that much, way too quickly. It's not hard to imagine how depressing of a life that must be, I'm not saying he's in the right or every person is like that. It's a realistic portrayal of humans in a modern society. A person is not a 2-dimensional character that you can just judge with your verrrry shallow understanding of the world. The line between morally right and wrong is crossed all the time. Get out of here with your kindergarten, libby bs.
