I saw the anime some time and there's something I didn't understand, but now that I've read the manga I finally know why that shitty anime was the best I ever saw (until I discovered the Jojo anime)
Simply, an incredible journey. Such great characters. Love how Kenshiro came to respect most of the big villians he went up against. Wish a publisher would translate and publish the entire thing.
What a fantastic read.
Amazing. I was crying a lot with the last two chapters. Really satisfied with the ending though.
And for anybody wondering, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior came out in 1981 (which definitely seems to serve as inspiration for much of Hokuto no Ken's villain designs.)
Mad Max came in 1979 and HNK in 1983.
Well, that was manly. Obviously the main focus was on tragedy, reminded me of those Greek myths tragedies.
Anyone knows where I can find Raoh Gaiden scan in English?
Just finished re-reading this manga. Brought back some fond memories. Now, on to Souten no Ken!

Only recently realised ( after reading FOTBS ) that there are more than 50 chapters to this. Hurr. It's better this way I guess. xD
Now, to start over.
Gotta say I prefer JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
