That synopsis is horrible. It doesn't say a single thing about what they story is about.

Thanks for saying that, changed it now with a much more helpful synopsis.

That synopsis is horrible. It doesn't say a single thing about what they story is about.

Dear Japan.

Please get a copy of DSM-5. Being unable to feel emotions is and lacking empathy not some super human trait. It's just sociopathic behavior. From the look of it, the MC kid is totally autistic as well.

This was unusual. So that means his family members were Djin too right?

Everything about this has been absurd so far, but the idea of killing everyone he could possibly feel emotionally burdened to is retarded.  It's not like those were all the people he had interpersonal relationships with for the rest of his life.  He's going to get to know more people in his new environment.  So I assume they're willing to kill off their own allies as they become acquainted with him?  Or is he being treated like some kind of product that isn't supposed to be interacted with to a certain extent?

Moreover what the fuck can this kid do?  He's emotionally dead?  So fucking what?  Does it amplify his physical abilities or something? Is the suit something that can only be worn or fully utilized by someone who has no emotional dissonance?  "Why him?," is something that's probably going to be answered eventually, but I'm still having trouble imagining how he's going to be a hero unless they're lying to his face and he's just a random mook and everybody is fed this garbage, or he's some kind of chosen one with innate power.

That chick also killed his family and presumably hundreds or thousands of people prior, and while she says she feels something when taking a life, she seems fucking fine after the fact with that grin on her face standing on the table.  If it's about not holding an attachment to life making it easier to kill something "human-shaped" then that's probably literally everybody in the force because they all seem fine with that awful plan.

For a kid that can't do shit, they killed everybody he knows, and are willing to kill people in their own forces.  Great.

I don't know how seriously I'm supposed to take this yet.  I mean the synopsis is: "Half a year after the Earth screamed to kill a third of the population, an emotionless kid gets drafted into an army fighting EARTH ITSELF."  Character codenames are all chuuni-tier cringe.  It's hard to take seriously but I don't get the vibe that it's meant to be intentionally absurd.  The only thing from NisioisiN I know are stuff his Gatari series (including katana) and they're all pretty serious works, so I'd assume this is the same deal?  Am I just "not fun?"

I'm all up for sitting back, not questioning things, and enjoying the bizarre and unconventional, but it's hard to if the work itself treats itself seriously, and I can't tell yet.

I'm a simple man, I see NisiOisin and I follow.

Love the action in this (Tongue)

nice

Interesting. I will follow it to see where the story go.
