Himawari Youchien Monogatari Aiko Desho!

Oh man that got dark towards the end. 

I almost cried a little at the last chapter though. 

I liked the style, not as refined as he will later get but the designs are cute and expressions on point. Also kids acted like real kids, not something I'm used to in manga.

why do those caretaking stories always end up with the caretaker and very young caretakee being in love...10yrs have passed, the girl is like 15/16, the guy is like late 20s or something and the little girl (4-5yrs at the time) is all he thought about for 10yrs. Seriously, can't mangaka drop the pedobear once in a while.

 

Alright, rant is over...back to  straight shota.

Maybe if you read the synopsis it states it's a "True Love Comedy of 14 years difference". At least on the Japanese wikipedia and that's how it was advertised in Japan.

You know, some of this nice people below can get angry, but i really didn't like ending. Like at all.

This typical "shove normal love interest to some other guy for sake of main heroine cuz logically she doesn't have any chances" shit bother me probably the most. Will not even begin about unnecessary DRAMA to deal with plot holes. But still, would be so nice to at least end it with open ending where hero decide to save kindergarten, and we all know that he will succeed, and pairings stays open for reader to decide.

Get out, open endings are the worst.

didnt think that his crush sensei would end up with fear of women dude and have that many kids who then become rivals to the real heroine all in all a nice ending yet surprisingly short

Strangely I didn't notice it until today, but the description of the Manga is wrong. I mean, Aiko is a kindergarten-child, meaning she can't be 8 years old as stated in the description but is rather 4-5 years old (As I remember correctly, people in Japan attend elementary school from age 6 onwards).

 

Someone who can fix this mistake please xD

I wonder if Ch. 48 was necessary to reach this ending.  It seems like carefree stories like these need a strong event to tie the fate of two characters together.  Would it seem artificial otherwise?

What a great story this was, many thanks to Mel_Luvz_Anime and everybody at Dark Murmur who helped finish this awesome manga  

Anyone know if this series was canceled? Now that I think about it, the ending feels hella rushed.
