I am so excited right now. I had no idea anyone had picked up/continued Hibiki's Magic!

This is such a sweet manga!

And disturbing in some ways, now that I recall. . . oh man, plots are coming back to me. I forgot how deep this manga was behind the sugary sweet exterior.

Whereas I have always associated it with the music of Haruka Shimotsuki... I think it's because of this one visual novel soundtrack I came across by Maeda once where she performed the theme-songs, and so since I had no attachment to that particular VN whatsoever, I sort of just connected it with Hibiki's Magic which I'd started reading recently when I first heard said soundtrack...

Anyway this particular song is not from that soundtrack and Jun Maeda had nothing to do with it, but I just feel like, if they ever were to make an anime out of this series, this is what I'd like the opening theme to sound like:

I'm starting to wonder what Hibiki actually does on her job. What does she teach if she teaches at all? Or does she just run errands for the other magician?

From what i know few years ago, the artist, Izumi Rei is bedridden from sickness. And Jun Maeda still want Rei to do the artwork. That's the cause of the long hiatus and discontinued in 2008.

recenty, I found news from MangaFox that the manga is back to live.

I'm glad they waited for her. It wouldn't feel the same without her adorable and beautiful artwork. Also, I wouldn't have discovered it on the front page of Batoto years later!
