This series gets so intense later. I really wished it was translated more also.
Fanservice? Dont know what you count as Fanservice, but i rarelly saw some. The arc with Pain is for me actually the last top, but that doesnt mean its bad now. The only things i have to complain about are: 1 As good as nobody died even though its war. 2 Sasuke suddenly said he want to be Hokage.The Hell??... Hope we both talk about the Manga, not the Anime.
Naruto's story stopped being good a couple arc's ago. Right now the author is just stuffing as much fan service as possible into the current one.
This kind of art is a real great change for my eyes. And i mean it in more than one way. All of them good ^^
So i really am kind of uneasy to see it beeing dropped.... I hope someone is picking it up. And by that i mean someone good. Really dont want sloppy translations :\
You cant compare this with Naruto. Thouse two are totally different.
Narutos Story is good, very good, even though you sometimes think its dragging too long but i think this happens with mangas of way more than 100 chaps. For me its a manga that was forced to be be a shounen so some kiddies can read it too. But if you are able to accept/overlook that its a real good story with a big question which hasnt answered till now.
Is there no hero out there to pick this up now that EGS has dropped it?
It's not that this series is bad, as many are saying, in my opinion. It is simply different from what we usually read. And I have a thing for series that don't simply follow established patterns. That the art is great is a good enough incentive to stick with the series and see where it goes, to let it have its chance. Maybe it will grow on you and you will warm up to it.
Granted, some things are unappealing, but I don't think the unique progression and narrative makes it automatically bad.
That isn't a very high bar, you know.
I seriously can't believe people are saying the story line isn't good. Only 9 chapters and i think its better than Naruto, and i've been reading Naruto since the start. Im assuming the people that said the storyline was "bad" typically like cliché harem/shounen mangas. But then again this is just my opinion.

The way the mangaka keeps explaining about people I don't care about and that pisses me off. Why the fuck are you talking about kings and other people?!The FOCUS is the main character! Stop jumping all over the damn place!

yeah i'm currently on chapter 69, not reading just looking at the pics, but in every chapter there are like 3-4 different groups of characters, each doing something different, like training, fighting, i think one of the stories is something that happened in the past and stuff. it's very annoying because i wanna see just one fight but i have to go through like 20 pages just to get to that fight and it's only 10 pages of that fight. it's a very annoying setup, and i have no idea why the author did it like that. but ill persevere lol
Hm, I took a bit of a preview for the next 20 or so coming chapters and it just continues to get really really really really really convoluted. Random characters keep getting introduced with tons of random "deus ex" changes popping up.
just in case there was anyone who wanted to read ahead or just look at the pictures. it says it has up to 167.Also the color is a little duller but it's not that much of a difference.

I agree the first chapter wasn't all too interesting, but the main character is fine. It's better than weak-willed, floundering, sissy protagonists with laughable insecurities that make them feel conflicted in even the most common sense situations. I'll take one-dimensional men amongst men over irrational, plastic, superficially "complex" sissies any day.
Great art but terrible story.
Especially the first chapter is very boring to be honest and the main character is way too "perfect". He can do everything and he's a genius and he's handsome and it goes on and on.
Bad main character, bad series.
