i started PRing it last chapter , its been a few weeks since i read the series so i could PR it but im pretty sure it does get better at around 10 i cant really remember though
This series is really quite nice. I've seen and read a number of similar things before, but the execution here just works better than most.
I only just started reading this but the translation seems like a mess. When he meets his friend in the past, he's saying "You're Yukihiko!?" But it's somehow translated as "Where's Yukihiko!?" There's quite a few other errors that change the meaning of a scene.
Does this translation get better later on? Or is the quality consistently like this? If it doesn't get better, I will just read it in Chinese.
... I'm amazed with the idiocy in this post... it's ironic that you have the gall to label the characters stupid when it's you who can't even understanding the story properly..
In Ch.3 and I'm absolutely stunned by the characters' stupidity.
Doesn't the girl realize that the boy existed in the past as well? If his future memories go away, he's gonna become a delinquent again, which, since she believes he caused the incident, would be a bad outcome for her.
And this is already skipping past the fact that she's ignorant and self-righteous to an unreasonable level as well.
And as for the guy... since he believed he caused the incident, losing there would've been ok.
First and foremost, he already went to apologize on his knees and let himself get beat up by the supposed culprits... so those people that he thought caused the incident should have no reason to cause trouble anymore. Then he could just go back into the future to see if anything's changed, no? There's also the fact that he now knows there are other people aside from him trying to help the main heroine. Since he believed himself to be the cause, there's no real need for him to stay in the past after he settled his differences with the other delinquents.
I'll give BANJO Azusa the benefit of the doubt and assume that all this time criminal stuff was already planned before hand, but the execution of the introduction of these "big baddies" was a mess....

Well, she wasn't his girlfriend, and getting raped wasn't what led her to that catatonic state; that was simply the conclusion the protagonist reached in the first chapter, and we all accepted uncritically.
Over the few recent chapters, the author goes to show that the protagonist's conclusions were faulty in a number of respects, and he's reevaluating them. Why would that be considered a change in "her" characterization? It is simply a change in our misapprehension of it.
Admit it; you're reading a story where the protagonist gets taken back in time four years by a mysterious half-naked girl. This was never sci-fi: it's been full-blown fantasy from chapter one. What are you complaining about now?

Right, so I know a lot of us had certain "reactions" to the recent turn of events, but taking a step back I don't think it was that much of a shift. I mean sure there were action-like moments, but overall it still focused on the characters and their drama as usual. Everything just seemed a bit jarring due to how it was introduced. Maybe. I dunno, just didn't seem as crazy, out-of-nowhere on second inspection is all.
I'll admit it did seem a little lame. But the hinting at the end of chapter 12 makes up for it.
