Happy if You Died

This was at least entertaining for a while, but then there was a weird veer. Boss remains a narcissistic, chauvinistic, misogynistic, self-aggrandizing, antedeluvian, unapologetically bigoted piece of s***, but there seems be a constant narrative push to woobify him, or at least frame him as legitimate romantic interest. No thanks. In the most recent chapter, he His behavior is atrocious. And the distaste is only further compounded by the use of Misunderstandings Galore as the main reason this is continuing to happen. His damaging thoughts are never addressed except as an aside, that yes, he is still a terrible person. Just. That they understand each other's words so frequently because of terrible communication skills and Plot, and this is supposed to be reason enough for everything he's doing.... ahskfksjsl. Nope.

You know, I never thought I'd say it, but I think I'm dropping this.  It's not bad exactly, but it's not my thing any more.  I loved it when the chief was just a bastard and I could enjoy having him get whacked all the time.  The whole project to humanize him just isn't funny.  Now most of what's a bit like comedy comes from the fact that she has to spend a lot of quality time with him, causing misconceptions and crossed wires with her object of romance and other people which are hard to clear up because secrets; in short, stuff is mostly based on enforced bad communication.  Not a dynamic I'm fond of.  The romance has no emotion because using the loop to test for the right tactic doesn't feel like a relationship and because he's not in on the secret; he's practically a cardboard stand-in for a romantic lead.  It says something that the boss guy is such an amazing dick and yet lots of people are still shipping him with her.  The main option just has so little impact that even a complete creep can seem like a more viable choice.

So it's just not a story I'm into any more.  I want the funny, or failing that the romance, and I'm not really getting either.

Chief character is okay. He's like an arrogant, spoiled brat, who needs a reality slap every once in a while. The problem is MC is completely unattached to him. She doesn't care, and not even gets annoyed, with whatever he did; as long as her day continues on. Even it ends just like that.

The MC and Assistant Kang got married (FUCK IT). Chief cried several times,especially during the last 5 chapters (apparently he loves her, I don't understand Korean but it makes sense though). When receiving a video message about the couple's wedding, he began to cry then covered his face with both hands. It would be a lie if I said I wasn't feeling sad for the guy. Should have dropped it earlier, sighh...

 

It makes me wonder, why write this story about two people who obviously doesn't care about each other at all? I mean, at least ONE of them should chase each other.

And this where the fun really starts... XD

I think I didn't read it since chapter 8 or so and it really went in an unexpected direction. And not in a good way.

This is so good, I read all 19 chapters in one sitting! And Assistant Kang is so cool.

I wish I had an employee who could do nightshifts and raise my score in games, like a Human Bot.

Somehow this is getting better. The first 5 chapters were annoying,though.

The chief seems to be the best character that ever appeared in Korean media I've consumed until now. He's even better than the MC from "Full House" (especially the Drama version was great xD), because he seems to be much more deep than this Webtoon makes us believe.

This is really good. I am glad that I read it past chapter 3. The author keeps adding always a new twist to the story instead of repeating the same thing over and over again - just like a time-loop.

 

This is no standard comedy slap-stick webcomic that shits out some jokes in repeat order until it reeks of oversaturation without changing anything about the situation the protag has to live with. The protag in this webcomic acts instead of being a wheel in the machinery. (well she still is, but tries to actively change something)

I am not liking this as much as when it started.  It's getting to be a downer, plus the latest situation is really annoying.  I just hope she kills the bastard so the other guy doesn't remember this happening.
